How do you get the game to fit your monitor? I have a 22 inch and the game seems to go beyond both sides of the screen.

Been trying and I keep getting an error message that ffxiconfig has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I have the same problem. I play in 1920x1080 on my 24" Samsung, and since I like having access to the rest of my computer I play in Windowed mode. In full screen the picture firs great, but the obvious drawback is the Alt+Tab crash.

In windowed mode, for some reason, the right side and bottom of the screen seem to "fall off" if you will. The right side isn't very noticeable, but on the bottom I had to move my exp bars up to be able to view them, which is fine except the status bar overlaps them and resets every time the game restarts to its original position. Definitely not a game breaking thing (as everything else works fine), but it is a minor annoyance.

A flat panel design issue more prominent on 16:10 panels. your panel is not truly 1920x1080 its a few less sometimes 1915x1050. the panel resizes in full screen mode almost instantly so you'd never know it, no resizing takes place in windowed mode.

you can turn resizing on in your monitors OSD or your graphics card(only works in full screen)(you should never let the gfx card do it if its enabled in Monitor's OSD)

windows 7 has something called aero snap which will snap the window to the closest border on the screen. to turn it off go here: Start Menu\Control Panel\Ease of Access\make mouse easier to use\prevent windows from auto arranging. done

other than that i don't know.

Under FFXIVconfig.exe:

Go to "Video Settings".

Select "Full Screen".

Then, set your resolution to you monitor resolution.

When I set the game to my monitor resolution without selecting "Full Screen" I get the error you are describing.

actually, this has a really easy fix. Go to the last tab in your config file, set the Fonts to anything really. And done, it will no longer crash on you :)

Play 1600 x 900 in Windowed Mode - it's practically Full HD and you will not have that problem.

Google a program called ShiftWindow. Allows me to play fullscreen and alt+tab no problem. Pretty much wouldn't play XIV without it at this point.

I tried that but changed to Gamers Window Relocator, it's used by Eve Online player, very good and simple. And you can close it after it resize the windowed mode to bordeless.
