It seems that having completed all of the quests I could find last night, todays server "reset" (like in ffxi) opened up some new quests.

Just a heads up for everyone, there might be more than we initially thought.

To add to those, if you can get this DeLorean up to 88 MPH, you'll be able to play this game in 2019 when they've finally implemented mounts.

I have to head to work, so I cant look around too much..

One was in the MRD guild in Limsa, one was in the Lancer Guild in Grid. I am assuming there will be one in Uldah, but can't say for sure.

Off to work!

You have now motivated me to doing quests across the world.

I honestly didn't even care much about the quest feature because I was so wrapped around about how freaking awesome the local levequest distribution is now, but to actually get a new set of quests after completing a "Tier 1," or so to speak and get another new set intrigues me very much.

Great find DoctorMog.

This is more like it, I thought it was strange that you could only undertake 16 quests at a time, now it makes more sense if they unlock new ones as you complete them. Maybe there is something really good to get at the end of it all. I suppose this is also a good way to get people to do the quests nobody ever bothers with and they go straight to the ones with the good rewards.

Great find and a rate up for you ^^

edit* By reset you ment leve reset didn't you?

Yesterday I did 'The Penultimate Prank', today I can get 'The Ultimate Prank' (both from Nicoliaux outside CRP guild).

I checked back after JST midnight, so I don't know if it was or wasn't the day's rollover, but leves have not reset.

I still can't get stupid Francis in the LNC guild to give me his quest -.-

I was able to do both Prank quests from that NPC hours after the update.. Though I also couldn't get the quest from Francis. I could've sworn that the "Have You Seen My Son" quest used Francis' name (and I hadn't done that quest yet), so I'll check again soon.

I was able to do both Prank quests from that NPC immediately after the first Prank quest completion.

I just completed that one, I'm betting that's what was required for Francis' quest too.

The prank quest thing is good to know. I probably wasn't looking for the ! right after completing the first one.

Edit: Francis now has a quest for me- Have You Seen My Son was the trigger after all.

Some quests may have different conditions for opening another quest.
In FFXI sometimes it was game day, sometimes it was at the end of the conquest week (sunday), sometimes it was JP midnight, and sometimes it was certain hours of the day and sometimes it just unlocked upon completion.

I think it'd be foolish to universally label all quests as the same conditions for their next one given FFXIs past. At least, this early on.

Either way, good find Mog I'm glad to know that more quests open up. I was really disappointed after doing some of the quests but glad that more may open.

Just need to get us some BCNMs now ...

Honestly I would think the fastest way for them to provide quests would be to tweak the XI code (assuming there's a toolset just for quests, which is highly likely), and that would mean that you're correct. The "timers" might be changed, but ultimately it's going to be some sort of phased system. You can't have some psuedo-hardcore (I say pseudo because a real hardcore person by my definition would read every line and walk to every location etc... I guess the type of person I refer to could be a zergish harcore... but I digress) burning through your montly content patch in a single day and then burning the rest of the community out with "this sucks I did everything in 1 day" type posts

To confirm, Francis did give me the quest after completing "Have You Seen My Son."

Oh, Pangtong already edited to say as much.. Egh I shouldn't post when half-asleep.

For those of you that have done this, and unlocked other quests, can you tell me if there is any gear worth questing for? You don't have to be specific, just let me know if there is some pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, sorta speak. Thanks!

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul
