2 Months the Game will be DeadFollow

Oh no, that's right another negative forum post. Suck it up, lol

I get such a laugh reading all of the posts on here, once someone says something bad about this awful game we all waited for. The posters get attacked by "Hey you have to think of the future of the game, it's going to be great" "toll" "stop whinning" "go somewhere else, only happy thoughts here" etc...

Really? What in gods name would make you think that this game will last? My server population is so low it's barely playable. I am sure yours is the same.

Who cares how bad the Market Wards are (still crashing, no search for HQ items) when no one is even buying anything? And don't say "they don't crash as much" I say /em clap.

And to everyone that "loves" the patches and "updates" let's be honest, they suck! I mean adding these junk sidequests really made you happy? Really? Oh wait, then you must be the players that were so excited for "big head mode" patch update too! I mean, I was asking SE to do just that. Wasn't that a top issue for you? Make everything bigger, it was for me, lol

Oh yeah bi-monthly patches... wait, that didn't even last one month. Great job guys! That response is for everyone who says, "just wait for the next patch, just wait it will get better." Love you guys.

And well, I must say I love these monthly "ring the bell" make chocolate brownie to eat, and pop some noise maker... how Lame. Honestly people. Stop defending this trash. It is laughable.

And I am sure many "haters" of the truth will reply and say, "Stop whinning, why do you have to post here?" To that I say, I am trying to show you the future of this game. I am trying to let you know, grinding coblyns isn't cool. Oh wait, you must be upset they increased the HP of them in the patch, lol

I really don't think SE looked into the 80/20 rule. Let's try to make all the casual gamers happy, and **** off all the hardcore multiple hour players. Anima anyone? It should be a free port to all of Gridania because the place is empty. Crafting Guld Marks, everyone favorite right? Well the casual guys probably don't even do crafting. So who cares, lol. They just do local leves for the sp, he he.

But Mr. Negative Poster, the game will get better when the PS3 verison is out. Oh really, is that before or after the PS4 is out? Or should I refer to amazon.com to know when the PS3 version is out? Do you really think it will be better? They don't even know how they want the battle system to be like, they have to poll us. Nothing like having a FFXIV poll you, and ask... Hey players we didn't put much thought into this game, should we do his? or this?

But all of this is okay because the game is "free" and "hey man if you don't like it play Rift." LOL

The problem is, is that waited and wanted to play this "game" not make heart shaped cookies and yule logs. I know you casual gamers did, but not me.

...and now my bashing will begin. Next Patch you can play as Bill Clinton or Michael Jordan too. Heck, let's do a poll, it might actaully make the game fun!

Oh, one last thing, I love the "letters from the producer" explaining his business travel. What a great way to show everyone how much effort you take into writting your lovely letters. Don't worry I blame it on the translation too, lol. /give heart candy to producer. I made it just for you!

Wow, /ragequit much.

Silly child is being a child. Okay, I am going to consider this thread was started by a little kid who has no other outlet. Sweetie, I promise there is more to life than flaming about a game that you don't like and others may like. Just because you say something is aweful, doesn't mean everyone else is wrong for doing so, mkay? Now little darling, you should apologize to the nice people here and maybe go outside and play some baseball :)

Ultimately the few people that like the game and will put up with anything are nowhere near enough to sustain it, either the game will struggle to get enough JPs on ps3 to make it a JP dominated population game or it will close. Either way the people that like the game have a big problem ahead of them, one I'm glad I don't have to face.

I rated TC down but tbh he has a point. And lets get real here, FFXIV is barely for anyone. I am still waiting for that day that the game will get better but every time I log into the game I wonder what they were thinking. TC just said what most people really think in the back of their minds but they're gutting through just so they *see* what the future holds. Hopefully the waiting pays off for all of you.

All my faith lies in companies and them fixing the battle system. OP if what we've seen about companies is true this game could be decent.

It's not like people believe that the ps3 version will magically make the game better. The idea is that by the time the ps3 version is released, the game will be good enough that the launch itself will attract enough players to get the game back on its feet. (not that it ever was on its feet). Even if the game suddenly turned into one of the best games ever made, it would still be almost impossible to make a name for itself as such. The PS3 launch gives FFXIV something that most MMO's never get - a second chance.

At this point, however, the game still needs a -lot- of work to get to a re-release worthy state.

As for your "They dont even know how they want the battle system to be like, they have to poll us" remark, They are basically treating the game as an open beta of sorts right now. Player feedback is the best possible thing for this game in its current state. If the game were exactly as it is right now but instead was never released and still officially in beta, it would (in my opinion) have a lot going for it, the release would still have to be a fair ways off but they're on the right track.

We know they will bring "danger facing Eorzea" quests, we know that it will bring public housing, crafting in groups, having your own ship, sailing it, pirate attacks; and I think that's all we know so far. That's based on a video that was launched around september or july of last year, who knows how far it's come now.

If we're talking about battle system changes, its do or die really. Either they get battle system right with good party play or the sh*t will hit an even bigger fan. If we're talking about companies I think they should have been implemented at release. Game saving? I don't see anything saving the game right now other than a PS3 release after everything is done and done with...I think to me personally, the game has grown so boring that I just can't even imagine playing it consistently again no matter what they change but it doesn't mean the game wont get better and I hope I eat my own words.

Thanks for adding this Poll! It made the post. Well done. I voted for Clinton as well.

- WINNING! -

Yeah so who is this game for? Great question. My best guess would be JP players that like to solo. This game really isn't a party up type game. Heck, next patch the party size is dropping to 4 people anyways, but the catch is that you have to find your party members in Gridnia. It's actually part of the Epic Story Line Quest, you'll have to youtube that quest to find out the details on how to do that in under 30 mins, lol!!!!

Companies would have saved a lot more people from quiting this past month if it was applied. Game saving, like someone said... Eh, I would be entertained for a month making a ship, but making a giant cake? I'll pass. I know you all saw the video of LS companies making a giant cake. If you didn't, I'm not making this up, lol I wish I was. /em noise maker

This guy get rate up for being negative, i get rate down for being positive. More negative players then positive player in this community?

Anyway, personally i don't see how well the game will go because all the planned updated is still just something out of the "norm" from other MMORPG.

If they add chocobo or airship? Doesn't matter, no one would return just to ride chocobo.

I have to agree, this game going to die if yoshi P still not adding something "amazing" and something "different" from the norm.

Al through, this game won't die until 5 years+ after since SE is a large company and i am pretty sure they can afford just having 3-4 servers up until the next century, so plenty of time for him to do his job.

Heck, look at uncharted water Online (Koei, daplhine) there is only 3 JP SERVERS at beginning of the game, the game lasted as long as FFXI and just released PS3 version recently (yes, i am playing taiwan version of that game too)

Every knows these points. OP is pretty much saying what is on ALL our mind's (even the ppl defending). And I've seen all these points argued to death in forum. Just most ppl defending have gotten over it and moved on. You should be happy playing the game and i feel no sympathy for those that are playing and are happy to wait for additional content. The ones i don't understand are throwing hissy fits yet remaining in the loop just to tell everyone how bad the game is. Get a sandwich or something, and relax.

I have found a renewed intrest in the game after i quit for 2 months, my wife started playing almost a montha ago now and she has zero asperations of end game, she just likes playing with me and doing story line quests and such.So she isnt gonna really get effected by lack of content to much. Having someone I know in real life playing has made it a lot better for me.

Yeah nothing like another troll, telling someone else they are a troll because they are calling it like they see it.

Look, I get there are many frustrated with this game. **** I am as well to an extent, but do we really need a flame thread on a site that is here to maybe help those who are new to it and it's content and other odds and ends questions? If the op is so fed up, why come on here and start a big flame thread? I mean the op's post reminds me of my 2 year old throwing a temper tantrum cause of something she doesn't like.

If you guys really are that upset with it, just drop the game and move on...really... or not, in a way this thread is kind of taking my mind off of other things...so maybe I should say...flame on?

First let me give you a "Congrats" on Pysical level 31 Big Guy!

Really, this guy... what have you been playing like 3 days. You should just hide your signature next time. You obviously have full anima and do locals for sp.

I should be nicer, because you weren't actually completely negative. So I am sorry. When, maybe you start doing r30's or r40's leve quests, post again and I will read it.

No point in this thread. Everyone knows the game has problems. You're no different then the other complainers. We have no choice, but to take the wait and see approach to see how the game turns out. If you can't wait long, there are other mmos to try out. Posting already known problems and complaints do not help anyone and just start fights that aren't worth it in the long run.

The patches are coming in smaller amounts so there can be more of them so we don't wait months to see any changes. SE admits they know the game needs work which is why they probably want smaller patches more frequently instead of making players wait excessively long to see changes. The game is free for a reason, they don't believe it is up to Final Fantasy standards. They want time to fix it because they believe Yoshi-P and company can. Hopefully they pull off a fun game that many fun memories can be created like in FFXI for me. At least that is my view.

I suggest you take a break from FFXIV and maybe check back in a few months to see if there are changes you want to try out or that make the game more fun for you. If you still don't like what you see maybe it's not the game for you or wait longer perhaps.

I honestly don't understand why people like you bother posting to a community who's beyond tired of hearing your kind whine. Clearly something is driving you to be playing this game enough to post about it.

There's a difference between contributing to meaningful debate and conversation and the trash that you've just posted that I've read about...ohh...Iono....78 times? Here's an idea; contact every poster of every post like this and get together for some drinks, buy Rift/WoW/Whatever and leave the rest of us who actually enjoy the game, enjoy the game. things are going well right now. Not perfect, but well. We don't need you. The game doesn't need you.

Hey, if no one complains or gives feedback how will this game get better?

If SE didn't want feedback they wouldn't do polls. So I am just doing a post that SE encourages, so everyone should be happy.

And this game is not "well" it is dying my friend. If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell ya. Maybe at your rank 30 storyline quest you'll understand more what is being said here.

Feedback is different from your whiny, ***** post. Also it seems to me that the game is doing "well", I still see people on my server and each patch makes the game better.

No need for the language.

The patches do make the game better. Maybe not by leaps or bounds (sorry no jumping), but small steps, "just hang in there. The game will be better"

Is that the quest that has you running through the woods? I agree on that front though I think the storyline quests are lammeeee but they were the only thing keeping me around the game because the cut scenes themselves were pretty sweet and the story doesn't look half bad, it was just the actual quests that sucked.

No need to make a topic about the same **** thing people have heard for months.

Also you're contradicting yourself there, first you say this game will be dead, but now you're saying the game is getting better. Thus if the game is getting better, it won't be dead.

Removing a thimble's worth of water at a time from a sinking ship really doesn't matter in the end. Yes, you're making some progress but against the gravity of the situation, it's not nearly enough. Way too little, far too late.

I think we'll hit a reef instead. SE likes to be different, whether it's for the best or not.

TC you are doing it all wrong, people here don't like facts, they wanna read BS! Tell them how great and how far this game has come in half a year, how the last patch brought some of the most AMAZING QUESTS! EVAH! They don't wanna read about how this game is dying since release and all SE has been able to do is postpone it's death <.<

Yes, I'm sure you were caught completely off-guard by the topic of the thread, and therefore feel rightfully indignant that you were exposed to this negativity. I mean, the thread title is so obscure and vague...
