FUSE is the combined linkshell community formerly known as "Hand and Land" and "Combo Breakers". We provide a robust and experienced environment for all linkshell members, allowing players to connect with others of similar likes, talents, and goals. We have taken the best of all aspects of the game and joined them together as one strong linkshell pushing forward into the world of Eorzea. Members here regularly engage in a sharing of tactics, both battle and craft, as well as form strong experience parties to further grow their characters and forge great stories to share with their friends.
Where the Name Came From
Time for some history! I'd like to share, albeit quick, rather amusing history of why we're called FUSE.
FUSE is an acronym that I came up one weekend, out of amusement. It stands for "FU" SE (Square Enix), or better known as the FUSE Factor. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "FU" to them, this is them saying it to us! (It's like a bad Soviet Russia joke). The FUSE Factor is when you are crafting and although the goal should be clear (you're 25 or more levels higher than the synth and you still break it...hard), you still get it stuck to you. A joke by default; however, it means much more than that. Fuse, a synonym for blend, is the goal of this community. What once was a split linkshell situation, is now a strong community bond between players from all ranks.
Why Join?
- The linkshell is rarely quiet. We have a large amount of talkative players that discuss trades, tactics, crafting/gathering ideas in addition to gathering together for levequests, NM events, grindings, and everything else!
- Being a member of FUSE grants you access to a vast network of players who specialize in all ranks. Looking to form parties with members of similar levels and goals? Want to discuss crafting tactics or have someone to chat with while you grind away? This is the place for you!
- Experienced members! Joining requirement is currently Rank 30+. In addition, justified member referrals are also welcome.
- Strong, dedicated shell. Our primary focus is the success of all linkshell members. We regularly run statics, NM runs, and various other events!
What You'll Get (Expectations)
- This linkshell does utilize forums: http://www.fusexiv.com. Forum signup and use is required for membership.
- This linkshell does not utilize a vent server at this time. We are deciding if current player need dictates otherwise.
- This linkshell is an everything type of Linkshell. As mentioned above, activies can range from NM runs, statics, crafting/gathering extravaganzas, tactic discussion, and general social interaction. Many current members are 50, so the number of end-game events will increase with demand.
- In addition, we have an up-to-date member ul powered via a lodestone feed. This ul provides members with an instant access overview of all member levels. This ul can be utilized for creating parties, or even locating fellow crafters or member with whom you'd like to contract work.
