What do you guys think will come with the new patch?

LS Companies (not likely, is my guess)

"Jump"(could be)

Grindia back to life with map improvements (not likely)

Battle Changes (i don't they are there yet)

What do you guys see actually coming?

More quests. Hopefully, they're not just go here and kill 8 of this. Targeting will be adjusted again. I forsee the first of the battle changes, too, but how they will start implementing them, I don't know.

It'll probably just be a few more quests and some combat tweak adjustments. they'll mess with a few graphics somewhere and fix a few bugs.

More quests that won't have an interesting storyline, cutscenes nor music.

Minor tweaks to enemy hps.

They'll announce some UI improvements that help UI navigation just a tiny tiny bit.

If a boy can dream my wish is that at least ONE quest will have a cutscene, but honestly I'm not holding my breath. My hopes have been crushed with every single patch as they've only done very small tweaks.

If at least one quest was interesting that would give me hope that more are coming that are worth playing through.

It might already be too late to make the world have a sense of life because of the map markers during quests. They essentially make every line of dialogue useless to read.

What do i hope for?

a lot of things

What do i actually see us getting?

Aesthetic fixes and minor bugs being addressed. Maybe a few more generic cookie cutter quests. We are about due for some more bell events too.

I'm expecting some changes to the battle system, improvements to responsiveness. Perhaps they'll finally add the ability for the game to remember your spells.

Side note here: I was playing DRG/BLU last night and noticed that when I changed my sub to /BLU, the game remembered my Blue Magic spells! It remembered which ones I had assigned and set them for me; I didn't have to **** around with them to set them up again.

FFXI can do this, so FFXIV should be able to, too. Change jobs, abilities automatically come up.

I don't expect to see jump for at least 4-6 months because even if they decide to add it, they will have to redesign maps to account for it. A Z-axis throws a monkey wrench into planning when your game is designed around only X and Y.

There is a Z-Axis...THere has to be to allow a 3D enviroment. you have hills/etc...so the Z-axis is there, but at the same time there may also be "holes" in the enviroment where if allowed to perform "uncontrolled" z-axis movement may cause you to fall through the terrain, or pass through holes in walls or objects. collision is the biggest problem there

That's what I was getting at; I was just unspecific.

This, especially after 1.15b happened.
Edit: Not trying to be demeaning to SE, just being realistic. We'll see the big battle patch in 2 months.
