New classes unfinished races??Follow

I read somewhere a while back, in the beta before the game released, that armor and weapons labeled classes that werent in the game? Also recently i read that things from the old dev team wasnt implemented but was finished and those were the new races, im thinking male miqo'te and both female reogadyn and highlander (coulda been only as npc). I know it doesnt mean either or the new classes and races will be added but still would be nice to see more classes and more variety in players through those classes. The classes seem summed up and mashed together to me espicailly with DoM classes, would be nice to see dual weilding or great swords, pistols(kinda thought there would be pistols with pirates here), summoning among other things.

(clear things up with the lore) about the races i know in ffxi there were no female galka they were like pheonixes and exploded at random in old age and were babies again but the male miqo'tes were kept in there homelands and such if i remember right it was cus the males were rare right? but anyways in xiv they mention female reogadyn in the game so they are there now (dont hate the female reogadyn they dont have to be ugly) and as for male miqo'te iunno havent seen anything but to me i think xiv is a leaped forword time from xi in the same world though so maybe they repopulated the miqo'tes and males are just as out there a females and as for the highlanders is there really a reason they dont have females in those highlands?

anyways in short both more DoW and DoM classes would add more variety and races i think is just a ppl pleasing thing but honestly it wont hurt anyones gameplay unless u spazm and die at the sight of new sexes but thats what warnings are for :D

Here's the thing that was floating around last summer about the other possible classes. They were reportedly taken from .dats. Since the creation of this, we have learned obviously that Sentinel is just the name for Shield skill.

There also have been some videos here and there of folks glitching the game and obtaining some of the basic skills from some of these classes. The most common is accidentally getting the Fencer version of Pierce.

As far as Male Miqo'te/Female Roegadyn, there were some questions asked about it and as far as I can remember the SE of old gave a typical shoulder shrug type answer about why excluded those as an option.

Roegadyn, if i'm not mistaken are both male and female....at least from what i could understand from the race description.

The Sea Wolves originally hail from the islands of the far north seas, where they still subsist as fishermen and women. Long ago, no vessel or coastal village was safe from their maritime brand of brutality. Now, it is not uncommon to see them employed as sailors or naval mercenaries on all manner of vessels.

I think Roegadyn are reborn like there galka counter parts....its really hard to say if there asexual or if, there is a rebirth. no lore leaves no answers.

We know there are male miqo'te it says so right in the race description. and just like the Mithra lore female are the only ones that have adjusted to life with other races

and we know for a fact that both acanists and musketeer classes exist as there is already a guild for both in LL

As far as past dev teams have said XIV takes place in a conpletely differant wold than XI did, there just happens to be some extreamly similar races.

I do hope that the current dev team does get around to finishing up some of these things, even if it is just adding NPCs of the other genders. And the current classes do need to get some finishing polish before they add new ones... still hope they don't waist time changing them names and overall functions.

Well...a NPC is in all the cities giving out small tid-bits of information about the races. From what I remember the highlander's are very rare due to story reasons and thats why you won't see any females...I'm assuming it might be deeply tied to more story quest.

The male Miqo'te is probably the most unsatisfying answer. In Ul'dah the NPC says that there are apparently male Miqo'te in Ul'dah...they just hide and no one sees them or something.

Well like the character creation reads, Miqo'te are usually meant to be very anti-social and it's particularly the males that are like this. Nobody likely sees them right now due to there being no working model, give it time though. By the way, I wonder if the info is in the dat files already and if it's possible to extract it for viewing. I'd love to actually see what SE has cooked up that the males are supposed to look like. Anyhow, I still believe we may see them, yet it may be way off towards the time the PS3 version is released. What better way to get PC players who will have likely capped one or more job at 50 (or higher if the cap is increased) to play with the influx of PS3 newbies than to introduce a new race/gender option and unlock a few new jobs?

SE knows very well that we want to see genders for both gender exclusive races, and Miqo'te males were planned at one stage before time constraints made them scrap the idea. So I still think we'll see them added in down the line. When? It's hard to say at this point except that the game is still too new right now to call it done.

Lower status? I thought the males were just rare for Mithra. Either way, they just hang around and get laid all day. Life could be worse...

So how do us Highlanders reproduce? Do we mail-order gaybies and send them to work out at gym at the age of 10?
