[POLL] What's the first thing you will do in game?Follow

What's the first thing you will do in game when the servers come back online on the 25th?
Levequests/Behests!:38 (39.2%)
Crafting!:21 (21.6%)
Gathering!:3 (3.1%)
Grumble, grumble...retainers...:15 (15.5%)
/facepalm if I don't have 100 Anima.:20 (20.6%)
Total:97

EDIT: Crafting for me...I still have 1100 Yew Lumber waiting to be turned into masks.

Also, is it just me or will I be kind of disappointed if we don't have 100 Anima and all fatigue reset?

If my maths is right, the from 10:00 GMT Marth 13th -> 11:00 GMT March 25th is 12 days and 1 hour or 289 hours. In that time you would have naturally regenerated 72 anima and all of your Guardian Favour. So as long as you had at least 28 anima before severs shut dhown, you should have full anima (provided that the game time still counted the days the server was offline)

Oh, and my first goal is to try and hit r50 MRD by the weekend if I can. Then I can focus on Crafting/Gathering

Nicely done. I hope they counted the offline time then. Even from 0, 72 anima will be greatly appreciated.

I've wanted quests in the game for so long that now that we have few I feel obliged to do them. When I wanted quests I sort of thought they wouldn't be just like leves and have no cutscenes nor story, but oh well...

After turning my beautiful looking Eliza into a mega blade-wielding gladiatress (rank 40), I think it's time for me to focus on my blacksmithing. :P

I'll clean up my inventory, discard any junk, and organize my retainers. Then I'll turn the game off for about 5 hours.

Later on: While slowly reassigning all of my attributes to make them fairly balanced across the board, I'll be picking up starter weapons for a few other DoW/M classes and mining and botanizing the whole of Lower Noscea in an effort to accumulate masses of materials, I'll be leveling carpentry, leather, weaving, smithing, armorer, and goldsmith.

If there's nothing to do end game, I'll play the **** out of the beginning. Not to mention, I'm tired of having to seek repairs for my stuff. I'd rather just do it all myself.

I had just grabbed some new levequests before I logged before servers went down, I'm hoping that there is no roll-backs and I can take off from there.

I have some serious leatherworking to make up! Between just grinding leather and doing leves directly related to TAN I need to finish getting ARC to 22 so I can get quickstride :D. Also flagged a few quests and PUG r30 quest before servers went down so I have that to do as well.

Depends if they fully shutdown the servers or if they just put them in sleep mode. I'm no expert on server farms so I dunno what they would have done. I'm not expecting anything other than to be able to log in and play and make some sort of progress while sliding back (hopefully slowly) into the "waiting for stuff" game.

Sleep mode for a server farm sounds very improbable, no one in his right mind would keep the servers energized without proper AC.

Make sure I still have all my hq items I crafted just prior to the servers being off line. After that back to farming steel nuggets, and hq oak lumber.

What? You have a job? Friends? Interests outside a virtual world? Noobtastic!

If my girlfriend wasn't as much of a gamer as I am, I'd be screwed, but at least it would be in more than one meaning of the word.

I'm assuming they were using some generator power to continue coding their other projects that are coming due (assuming again that most titles are worked on in the same building). I wouldn't even think for a second they would put them in sleep mode without being on guaranteed power. And I wouldn't expect them to run a generator for the sole purpose of powering farms, definately not at full pace.

Unless we get an update the same day or get some news about companies beforehand (very unlikely for both) then I'll probably log on -> look around -> sigh -> log off. That's my realistic guess.

Try to do the main story line again by Nine Ives then get back in the the crafting groove, some shows I watch on TV is painfully boring without crafting while I watch the recordings.

You forgot an option: Quit.
I'm on the verge of just getting online again so I can say bye to the friends I've made, and give my good gear and stuff to the people that will actually use it. I've been holding out for a while on this game to turn for the better. I played it pretty hardcore, which is not my usual play style for these games, but this week or so off has given me time to realize that... I don't really feel like playing it anymore. I've found other games, and I've got real life things I need to worry about. In the end, this game just doesn't really seem worth it.

You know you're doing something wrong when, after a week, a player doesn't even want to log back in. I know it's not the same for some of you, but I have little to no motivation to go back to the game.

First gonna poke my linkshell repeatedly. I wonder how some of the people are doing. Heck, it's all just one free-to-play glorified chatbox to me anyhow. Not to mention i'm a little worried about the Navy members who may or may not have been dispatched.

Secondly, a few ranks on Gladiator or Smithing would be very nice ideally.

Obviously you are ignoring the two major patches coming very soon. While I won't try to convince you to stay, I have a feeling the remainder of March and the month of April will bring big things to FFXIV. You have been here this long, be kinda silly to skip out before some of the biggest game-changing patches.

I've got to try to find all the people who applied to my LS while the servers were down. After that, I'm doing leves.

I just made a Vintage Shield +1. It would have been a +2 except I had a quality fall of 75 Quality!! just before completion. I have a few +1 ingretients leftover. When the servers are back up, I am not saying I'll craft first, but my first crafting will be an attempt of a Vintage Shield +3.

I may actually reactivate my account and make a new character later today. Goof off a bit and check out the changes since I've left. **** it, I knew hanging around here was a bad idea. No way would I be considering this if it were pay2play, but it's sitting on my desktop staring at me. Saying "It's Friday, it's free, & you ain't got **** else to do!"...

Right on. I hope you can overcome the feeling of doing the same stuff over to catch up to where Leeloo was. It goes much faster the second time around. Plus with Local Leves and the synth UI the way they are now even crafting Ranks can be re-attained quickly.

Hope you have a good time sir. (Join us on Rabanastre if you are looking for an active LS.)

Thanks. Indeed it's fun right now at the easy-going beginning. What a new player could accomplish in one weekend now used to take sooo long back around release. Somethin' about earning all those ranks quickly is entertaining. But yea, if I stick around and make it to the real grind I'm sure I'll continuously shake my head about deleting that character. No way near as painful as starting over in XI though = D

Also, I'm diggin' some of the changes I see. They've definitely made it more playable since I left...
