Hi all,
I just picked up the game and registered with a new square-enix account, but when i try to log in I get a message saying there's maintenance and to try again another time. But I'm also seeing people posting that they're online. Is anyone else getting this?

Sometimes this happens to me as well. I'm pretty sure it's a login error. Try restarting your client/computer and try again.

Did you register your copy of FFXIV to your SquareEnix account? Making the account only gets you halfway.

Handy guide on Zam for this as well:

Double check to make sure you didn't miss any steps ^^

Fixed it! The problem was my internet security. I needed to go in and lower it from the control panel

Don't lower all your security, just let POL through it.

(Which is maybe what you meant, but it couldn't hurt to mention)
