FFXIVPro has uploaded the new items from the patch (I think there might be a few old items in the list tho)

http://www.ffxivpro.com/search/item/?update=2011-04-14

Equipment
As far as the new equipment goes, most classes have 2 new weapons for either r25, r30 or r35.

There are a couple of recoloured armour items. Most interesting to me is the Blue/Grey scale mail. Also the Nightwawk Visor is a neat looking mask.

Easter Items
There are a range of new hats for the seasonal event. Basically its an cross between a beanie and a helm, painted to look like an easter egg. There are also various coloured egg items that are possible items to be collected in the "easter hu....event". There is one for each element, plus some eleaborate painted eggs (maybe you have to cobine them?)

Another interesting item is the 'Deaspected Crystal' which is a clear crystal. Perhaps there is a way to gather them and fill them with energy as a way of farming crystals?

Also a lot of quest items added

Nice on the swords, but too bad there isnt a unique plate armor addition. Gonna aim for the gla/mrd stuff myself. Paladin pants too lol.

well although this mid range gear aint great for THM, it at least gives you some more choices than just a standard cowl. this update is deffinitely a beginning.
i dont play any other classes so i hope someone got something good ^^

I understand people not wanting to play for various reasons, but what's keeping you away is the fact that standard overworld NMs are not giving gear that looks completely unique?

Just wow.

Just wow.

That's not only not what he implied, but also literally not what he said.

because ffxiv has very very little different armor models. I get sick of seeing the same things over and over. they have a chance to include new models and instead go with recolors.

Maybe World of Warcraft would suit you better? Oh, wait, their Bind on Account gear(leveling gear) is re-skins of old armor... not even recolored. Or maybe you want to get into upper end raiding. Sucks again, because you'll just have to quit for a second time. The heroic versions are simply recolors with stat upgrades.

Guess what, remaking complete models takes time from development from the content we really want. Dungeons(being used as an example), maybe if you cried about them not being out your post might be legitimate.

Rage quit and go play Rfit.

I'm glad they added these options for people that would want to rank up other classes, it's incentive enough to have "Unique" if even recolored gear.

i have to second this.
the developers havent added any new models since beta, all of the models that were released in this last patch have either been in the files since beta or are just recolors of old armour, they just didnt have stats implimented yet which obviously worked out for the developers.
so to some who havent seen much then yeah this is new equipment, but for the more knowledgeable, nope nothing new to see.
however, im all for this game having such a feature. whats the point of not adding something for players to keep busy with?

You want a stronger weapon? Try sticking feathers on it!
Oh, and the Japanese version of this game has got to have one of tha laziest naming systems ever (instead of 'plumed' or whatever most item names are appended with a DX, and 'Ornate Silver Scepter' becomes 'Silver Scepter SP' http://ffxiv.zam.com/ja/item.html?ffxivitem=5020006&setcookie=1)
