Updated, exports final data to xml so you can do what you want with it. I'll be setting up my site to display data from around the world of players. Maybe setup some contests for most damage done to a mob or something.

I also have a request to help me with. I can't speak a lick of japanese and no german. I want parsemod to support parsing all languages :)

At least with german/english/french I can get the idea but with japanese the log is wierd.

Example:
Booboo Kittyはマーモットに左側面から「ショット」 ⇒ 836ダメージを与えた。
everythign after arrow is just "damage"
Before that it's from the direction
「ショット」 = mob name

Items, rather than You obtain a crystal, is :
「銅鉱」×1 を入手した。

Anyone that could help with it would be great :D

Like Final Fantasy XI, the game specs will be extremely high for the time, but in about 5 years, an average machine can run it on max settings with little to no issues. Tanaka also expressed interest in making a benchmark program available.

ParseMod now supports french parsing. Known bugs are not tracking body parts because of grammar issues, working on that.

Exporting to raw xml still functions, completed parse xml is turned off for now until kinks worked out :)

Enjoy~!

Japanese and German, here I come!

Forgot to add, go into log tools->settings and choose French :)

Gotta say, I love the GUI on this one, and all the breakdowns it offers! Nicest one I've seen, keep up the excellent work. :D

Question though, a friend was running the bg parser (log file parser) on the same Ifrit fight and we came up with fairly drastic differences. Mine (this one) showed I was top damage at 15k and next person was at 14k. My friend's parser instead showed me as second, at 11k and the other guy at 12k. (rounding up for simplicity)

What would account for the differences?

There's a few factors. I take into account partial damage, counters. Not additional though. By default unless changed parsemod will save your battle history to an xml file when you press reset or close the program.

Did it create a log on that day/time in logs/parsemod/timestamp_log.xml?

If it did, copy that to the same directory as parsemodxiv.exe, and drag the file onto the exe. If it shows the same parse you got than it was correct. If it's different than I have to look at a memory leak somewhere as it could double count something :)

Thank you for the support! :D

New updates :)

http://ffxiv-app.com/products/parsemod/screens/main.jpg
http://ffxiv-app.com/products/parsemod/screens/party.jpg
http://ffxiv-app.com/products/parsemod/screens/healing.jpg
http://ffxiv-app.com/products/parsemod/screens/damage.jpg
http://ffxiv-app.com/products/parsemod/screens/monster.jpg

Unmatched lines are saved to XML if you have it checked in Log Tools.
GUI updated to allow you to drill down deeper into stats.
Command interface using /echo added.
/echo com:parse on
/echo com:parse off
/echo com:parse reset
/echo com:show-all ability
/echo com:show-all damage
/echo com:show-all healing

What this means is that if you use a macro for those it will send the data right to your chatlog in /party! It only sends totals for right now. Please go-to the forums and make more suggestions if you’d like to see a command!

Oh yeah~!... I have forums now :)

All support/questions can go there :d

You still butthurt?

Here's the file you see in those screenshots:
http://ffxiv-app.com/files/uploads/sample.xml

Run it through the parser if you like. It counts up 645,000 damage for me. Give or take a few K.

Actual damage I did; after manually going through the entire file:
644,463

So if it's off by a few k or +/- of 0.005%; after parsing 8 hours of battling in ~5seconds, I'm okay with that. Even kParser wasn't 100%. Neither is BG's.

Perhaps I'll work on invalid characters or what/not in the chatlog but as it stands if it's not valid or it's garbage junk; I don't parse it.

The inaccuracies come from anyone else in your party.
It parses your own actions nearly perfectly, but misses a substantial amount of data when parsing others. Even if they never leave range and are fighting right alongside you.
Double parse with someone, start at the same moment, never stray from that person. You will see what I mean after only a few moments.

How about you provide both screenshots and xml files from the log directory. It could be a name; a character or what have you that's causing it and without people submitting actual files or proof of said inaccuracies I can't fix them. I spent the time and got 8 hours worth of logs just to test.

In those screenshots:
Zirgon Soul:
Parser:584389
Actual: 582735

Difference is ~1% and I'm not Zirgon. I'll happily look at your XML files that are exported and go from there.

Japanese support working and released.

I didn't have a huge log to work from; I had some natalan farm and garuda battles so block's is not calculated but when I get a hold of those lines I can update.

As of now japanese can be parsed 98%ish. German incoming.

once I get the parsing done I'll work on localizing the interface :) Thanks for all your support~!

P.S. While not wildly inaccurate I did find an issue with the threads where one would cancel out the other and not count the damage. It should bring the damage away from the 2-3% difference from before and dam near 100%.

I've posted instructions on my site on howto setup log4view to view the events that I emit over localhost UDP.
