Repairing a Taurus Staff...Follow

Costs 999,999 gil at the NPC or an Antelope Horn which usually sells for more than 50,000gil.

Really SE? T.T

It's shiny, it's good. I wanna use it, but I'd rather be less of a THM and save millions of gil trying to repair one item.

Well, at least it'll remove gil from circulation, right? ^_^;

Howling Talons is the same. I'd love to fix mine myself, and have more than the goldsmith level to do it, but Siltstone (and the whetstones) are out of stock on my server.

Back to ye olde non-NM weapons with me.

Unbelievable.
They really should just remove the repair system and replace it with an enhancing system instead.

i wouldnt mind the repair system if it wasnt such a hastle. it was way over thought in the planning, and although im sure it sounded cool on paper to be able to repair your own and others things, it just didn't translate well.

what they should do, is let the repair NPC repair to 100%, and not have it cost an arm and leg. maybe 50k for everything you have equipped repaired, if everything was at 0%?

usually repair systems in a game is for money sinks, but in this game...i don't know what they were going for. and thats not even including how anoying it is you need to repair items to full before you can sell them.

Well I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but at least SE is aware of the issue:

Repair bug for new item

Repair Bug for new item!

Repairing the new Item which drops off prince pestilence called Seer's cowl currently has a repair bug when using the npc. Repair cost is set at max for a repairable item which is 999,999 gil. This is an obvious oversight as it's only a rank 35 item and no item in game costs nowhere near this much to repair via npc, thank you xD

Hey Misha,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will have this repair result reviewed and handled accordingly if it is confirmed to be an issue. As usual, please check the Official Lodestone Website for any updates. We will also post here as soon as any information from development becomes available.

Thank you,

Well, since it -is- a bug. THen hopefully the repair cost at the npc will be low enough that I wount have to buy Antelope Horns. :P
