On patch night, 2 days ago, I turned in 2 rank 1 guild tasks and 2 rank 10s. I got pretty ordinary rewards (200 sp, 100 shards and such) and decided that it was an easy enough way to get bonus SP every day as I do my crafting leves.
Tonight, I was surprised to notice the guild doesn't ask for the same items as last time (I was actually expecting to farm the same mats and produce the same goods for a while...!).
Not only that, but each of the guild tasks also gave me an extra 3,000 gil on top of the reward (5,000 gil on a rank10, 5 fire shards on another, and 100 shards and a bronze buckle on the rank 1s).
The guilds each had a custom message that accompanied the extra reward:
Deaustie: If I may be so bold, I would like to present you with this, as well. We weavers are good to those who are good to us.
Nogeloix: Please, allow me to offer this on behalf of the Phrontistery, as well. We are nothing if not grateful.
Elecotte (Goldsmiths): Oh, and please, take this as well. We are grateful for you (spelling!) services.
Linette (Miners): I've gone ahead and readied this for you, as well. Think of it as an additional experssion of the guild's gratitude.
Did anyone play 3 days straight and get a bigger reward for each consecutive day or something?
So far it seems the consecutive reward doesn't care if you completed a rank 1 or rank 10 task the day before.
