As a relatively new player to FFXIV , while i was impaling/piercing Level 15 Stuffed Dodo's near the entrance to the Nanawa Caves.
-->Most of the time the lancer's weapon of choice is poking* through the Dodo's torso and (insert your sentence).
No, i am not saying it should be like FO3 or FO:NV or DA2, where the humans in average (after thorough calculations) has 100x amount of blood.
Towards the notion of "realism" (just suggestions)
1)As the equipment 's durablitty decreases to a questionable state, it should look more battered,torn, tattered & (insert your word)
(for e.g. Vindictus/Mabinogi Heroes ,where the "armor" breaks apart into a less "protected" state.
2)Flesh wounds, occurs when the equipment that serves as a form of protection is low in durability.
3)As the time progresses, when your avatar is receiving the effects of battle fatigue, perhaps the developers should emphasize onto the facial expressions of your avatar to make this whole concept of "Fatigue" more believable . (Perhaps a more worn-out,tired look)
