As I'm sure many of us do, I check out these forums on a daily basis just to get an idea of what's going on, but in the meantime I'd love to find an MMO to sink my teeth into.

Sadly I feel like I've tried pretty much everything that's out there save Free-to-play games. I'd love it if everyone could share the games they've been playing, preferably MMOs but anything is fine, I'll start it off:

Portal 2, love it love love it, just working on Co-op now

Been messing around with http://glitch.com/ a bit as well (If you want to try this and you have Facebook I can give you an invite, it looks like it's closed for a couple of days but should reopen soon)

Portal 2 has been a ton of fun so far, but with the end of the semester coming around, I just haven't had the time for it. Hopefully with dead week coming up next week I can finish it off.

Been playing a lot of Duodecim as well when I have small bits of downtime.

Portal 2 Co-Op is very well done. It starts out giving you that feeling of "Yeah, this isn't even a challenge" but very quickly you find yourself thinking "Ok the developers clearly didn't test this as this one is NOT POSSIBLE".

Me and my Co-Op buddy have had many moments where we have been just staring at the scenery because we just couldn't work out how to finish it, but it's been great fun.

As far as F2P games go, I haven't really touched them other than FFXIV recently, the last one I tried was Rappelz, and it was terrible. Check out Magicka on steam though, this is a very unique Dungeon romper type game where combining magic elements is the core. Cheap as houses and worth the fun.

Also try out Minecraft, oddly addictive and to this day I still don't know why im still playing it, but I must finish digging my hole to the centre of the world! :)

Yeah Magicka I played the chriminy out of when first released and burned myself out on it, and Minecraft has been sitting on my desktop forever now, it's definitely my type of game but just can't seem to get crazy with it.

AS far as Portal 2 Co-op goes, it definitely has moments of just staring at the walls...and when the solution comes, you feel like such a jerk, (I'm looking at you last level of Hard-Light Surfaces)

We got Portal 2 for our 6-year-old, and he had a blast with it (he's loved Portal 1 for years--I was begged to, and agreed to play it from start to finish literally dozens of times), and I ended up playing it with him to completion (he struggles with the levels featuring combat robots, but otherwise seems to solve the puzzles faster than me more often than not). I haven't tried co-op.

I've just started getting into FFXIV, but most evenings it's just so much more tempting to fire up a FPS (namely America's Army 3) and blast away at familiar maps for an hour instead of struggling to learn how to play FFXIV, although last night I did put a few hours into setting up a blog and recording the first part of my adventure.

Still playing Portal 1. I am looking forward to trying portal 2. Other than those and FFXIV I have not had much time to play anything. Tried getting back into XI and just could not bring myself to do it; I logged in once and never logged back in. I also tried AION, It was fun initially, but tends to be one of those cookie cutter MMOs that just gets boring in a short amount of play time.

I have been playing Tactics Ogre and (to a lesser extent than previously) XI while also dabbling in Phantasy Star Portable 2, and Lunar for PSP.

Oh, and I bought the PSP download of FF VIII but... the long time between save points that happens at times really doesn't suit my playstyle. It cracks me up that the sega games that I have on my PSP allow me to save where/whenever but VIII is such a hassle.

Portal 2. Although the first times I've played it I got motion sickness. I'm almost finished with the game though, but it crashes randomly...

That's about it.

I was playing Rift, but I just don't have the time for MMO's anymore. After cap I was doing some PvP but that got kinda old.

Once FFXIV gets fleshed out I'll play it again, but I'm waiting for class/job system changes, battle changes and more content/rewards.

The only other game I'm looking forward to is L.A. Noire.

I've been playing Xmen legends/Marvel ultimate alliance series sporadically over the past few months. I don't buy a lot of games, and nothing overly interesting come out in the past year really.

we're still in the middle of a huge lull in MMOs, aside from cataclysm/rift, so there isn't much variety these days. I'd have recommended DCU because its fun and light, but that game crashed and burned when so many people hit cap and quit, and now isn't even online due to sony's recent misfortune.

Oddly addictive is right. I saw my boyfriend playing it and thought "that looks so stupid", but then it got in my head somehow and I just had to try it. Now I have to finish building my wooden house in the sky (it keeps getting burned down on accident).

I was playing DC Universe Online, which I thought was pretty fun. I don't even know that much about the DC comic heroes or anything, but I still get a lot out of the game. I'm sad that it's down right now :(

Actually I wouldn't mind finding a new game to play since DCUO is down, my friends aren't playing minecraft right now, and it seems like I might actually get a day off for a change.

Since I gave up on FFXIV (we'll see . .) I've leveled two more characters to 85 in wow, a mage and a paladin healer. I named my mage Shantotto for nostalgic purposes :) A lot of ex-FFXI players notice it when I'm in dungeons with them and it's always nice to hear from a fellow FFer. When don't feel like an MMO I'll play a bit of CS: Source. That's about it really.

Demon's Souls, and before that Tactics Ogre, and before that Monster Hunter (Unite, Tri, Portable 3rd). Unite was the first game to successfully unhook me from FFXI (which I had no choice but to quit because of grad school time constraints). The other games are all amazing alternatives, if you're the type to blend technical skill in the RPG mix. 200+ hours spent on all of them except for Tactics Ogre (~80 hours or so).

Here's hoping for the PS3 release of XIV. Dark Souls, Ico and SotC Collection, and L.A. Noire in the meantime. HEH-HA.

During my previous break I wore out some Fallout New Vegas. Except I never got the DLC & there's a couple more planned for this summer so I would probably check that out or look for some other Steam deals. Mass Effect 2 looks tempting. Never got around to playing that.

Also looking forward to Elder Scrolls V

I built a little summer house on top of a mountain. It is so sweet and would actually love to live in something like it :D - We have a server all the guys at work use, so we all login occasionally for group projects. The last things I built were giant space invaders in the sky, a huge 1-up mushroom from mario, a death fortress with a path leading between all our little zones in the sky, and then a huge pyramid made of glass.

Next project.... detailed replica of Ul'dah.... >_> ... yeah it's gonna be a long weekend :D

Demon's Souls is my favorite PS3 game of all time! If anyone hasn't played it, I highly recommend giving it a try. There is not a more rewarding game out there IMO, everything you do feels like a great accomplishment. I'm sure the player base has dwindled considerably so you might miss out on what was an excellent & very unique MMO experience but even if you're the only one on its still one of the best single player games available.

Nothing's funner than invading someone else's world and causing havoc if you choose to fall to the dark side! But then again, maybe its even more satisfying when you send those invaders back to the shadows from whence they came, making them wince the next time they see they've invaded your turf ^^

~ I LOVE IT!!! :P

EDIT: Dark Souls official gameplay trailer (the unofficial sequel to Demon's Souls). (/drewls)

I was impressed with the local hobby shop. They have at least 2 different groups that play D&D with minis and a dry erase map. They also have at least 40 player at one Saturday that played a wide assortment of board games.

I can't wait for Skyrim! I have been playing Oblivion as well. That game's about as close to perfection as you can get.
I just hope Bethesda doesn't keep true to their release-our-games-full-of-bugs ways of late.

Sadly, I'm pretty certain they will. Oblivion was filled with bugs (though, I don't recall any being game breaking). I'm going into this assuming the game will be 90% finished when its released with a fairly large patch coming 1-2 months later.

I didn't really get that much out of Mass Effect 2 the first time I played it, but then I went back and Played ME1 and imported my character to ME2 and replayed it. Now I'd say Mass Effect 2 goes in one of my top 15 games of all time. Definitely a must play, but I do recommend playing ME1 first (even if you have to buy it on PC like I did).

I just got heavy on fighting games after the disappointment from FFXIV.

Recently I got Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Mortal Kombat 9(this one semi-present from a cousin) both good games, I was impressed with MK9 the presentation is far better than it's old iterations specially better than MKvsDC.

Other than that a bit of old school, I boosted through Shadow of the Colossus again, that game is really one of the best examples of how less is more, specially with master pieces.

Also played a bit of duodecim in between, I don't know, IMHO dissidia was great, or at least I spent more than 100+ hours playing it, having a lot of fun with it but I simply can't bring myself to play duodecim, I feel the new cast is too focused on the popular titles, which isn't necessarily bad but I was expecting a face from FFVI at the very least.

The only MMO that I have tried lately is LOL(League of Legends) but it's more a time killer than anything else, I also saw Rift in a friend's house few weeks ago, despite all the hype I didn't find it THAT interesting.

Recently played and finished:
Halo 3
Portal 2
Homefront
Crysis 2

Currently playing:
Fable 3
League of Legends
Champions Online (more as a joke then in any seriousness...I spend more time making characters then playing them)
Civilization V

Currently waiting for:
Battlefield 3
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

And lastly, and odd bit of info I noticed while at Game Stop:
Final Fantasy XIV PS3 Release Date: November (2nd???), 2011 (can't remember the exact day.)
I asked about this and they said it was a "projected" launch date...if it's projected then who did the projecting?

Its projected, because if I'm not mistaken, if there is no release date they need to make sure to refund any deposits or pre-orders. So they just keep adjusting the date.

Didn't think of that. I bet it would be much better having my character from the original transferred into ME2. But those are long gone along with my Xbox 360 = (

Also ME2 was on special for 9.99 the day I made that post, which made it more tempting = D

Been playing RIFT. It's a great game if you are a casual player; you just log in, have fun and log out whenever. I've noticed that hardcore gamers seem to get burnt out on it, so I wouldn't pick it up if you plan on playing excessively.

I quit FFXIV a bit ago due to a lack of direction, and started playing Rift. I hit 50 and got bored... so now I'm back poking around on FFXIV. There wasn't enough in Rift at 50 to keep my interest, since I'm not really a PvPer and didn't really like the dungeon system. I'm a little weird, I know.

I should probably also mention that I've been playing Dragon Quest IX for the DS at least a little bit daily ever since I got it for Christmas. That game owns my soul more than I'd care to admit.

Also, I did get back on the Oblivion train as well. And ya, game was great but glitchy.
