So, what happened to the moon, and the disaster that was supposed to blow Gridania to smithereens? And what about the female great warrior Roegadyn who was supposed to be leading these "player-run" companies? And the chocobos?

I thought all this stuff would happen monday May 9... At least that was what I was told by someone here at this forum.

The Hatching-tide and Storms Over Gridania storylines culminated in a sort of cliff hanger for the moment.

As for the female Roegadyn and the other Grand Company leaders, Yoshi-P has stated there will be more about them exploring newly discovered dungeons in the next few weeks.

Not sure what's been said about chocobos. I know some folks mentioned that SE's "Hatching-tide Case Cracked" would have been more exciting if it was a chocobo that hatched as opposed to a dodo.

I thought that the seventh umbral age was coming when all that stuff happened. I don't know if that corresponds with the seventh umbral moon or not, I never looked in to the calender.

Yeah that would have been a neat way to introduce them... "And out came... a chocobo! Well sh*t guys, here you go, we've a steady supply now!"

But the Spriggans have been collecting Dodo eggs, right? Chocobo eggs are a bit too precious to be stolen from breeders, and we don't see any wild chocobo around. I won't feel exactly good if I hatch a supposedly chicken egg and out come a swan. It'll either be a miracle, a swapping mistake, or a bloody foreshadowing of dark times when nature just freaks out.

I always thought it felt strange in games like, say, Tactics and Legend of Mana when chocobos would pop out as normal enemies and you'd have to kill 'em off like any old Goblin. I'm just standing there, smashing up a black choco with a two-handed sword, tears streaming down my cheeks, crying, "I thought our species were allied, man!" D:

Chocobo's appeared as enemies in Final Fantasy XII as well. Given how strong they can be, it's no surprise that no enemy wants to mess with a mounted adventurer riding one!
