You don't really need to when you're grinding off my infamy.
And I'm sure you've gained your infamy from your decision to tell the truth no one wants to hear. Not from, you know, being stubbornly wrong.
Can you explain to the audience what I'm wrong about? If it's so obvious it's should be easy to prove. And hey, you can get even more rate ups just by playing!
Let me point you to everything that people have posted that completely negates what you are saying.
Several years of parsing every single merit party I was ever in says otherwise. ****, there were very few times where I wouldn't be the top DD as DRG/WHM in a party of 5 DDs and a BRD. I can only recall one occasion where a DRG/SAM parsed higher damage than me on DRG/WHM. I actually regularly partied with a MNK/WAR who would fulltime counterstance/berserk with me on DRG/WHM as the solo healer, and I'd still be beating her DoT. If I actually tried on DRG/SAM, it was no contest.
Your rebuttal to this was that you can't trust a dragoon's parser, saying that he must have been lying.
You may argue that DRG wasn't the top, very few will come to the job's defense. To argue DRG wasn't amongst the top is, however, delusional.
Drg has been king since Aht Urhgan introduced squishy mobs weak to piercing. The "nerf" you speak of nerfed mnk more. Much more.
Drg stayed there with Drakesbane being one of the highest Pdif crit ws's in Abyssea thanks to Razed Ruins.
Your clearly here trolling and trying to start arguments, and your opinion is idiotic as you just ignore Louiscool's various CORRECT points about XI and continue to ramble on about your pet-job hate. Nobody cares about your bad experiences, and we aren't in 2003 anymore.
Those are just a few of the pieces of information on the thread. I will add some more, because clearly you aren't getting it. I was in one of the top endgame shells on Carbuncle, Frenzy. We had a really well geared drg in our shell. He was also extremely skilled. He would routinely beat our black belt monks, decked sams, and pimped wars at pretty much any activity we were at. Even without his wyvern, he was ON PAR with most of those decked classes. Add in the wyvern, no contest. This was like 2005-07. Including his wyvern damage, I think I was able to outparse him maybe once or twice on SAM or WAR going all out, and that was with basically the best gear you could have at the time (e. body, ace's helm, full heca, hauby+1, etc.). Without his wyvern I'd beat him about 50% of the time or so, and he'd beat me 50% or so.
On HNM's, obviously I had an edge on SAM... because SAM was basically THE DD for HNM's until Abyssea. Most other places though, he more than held his own. What I am saying is, a skilled player with good gear on drg competed with a skilled player with good gear on any other melee class. You are completely wrong in your thinking, and all of your assumptions are based off of a bunch of whiny people who overreacted in 2004 and then just got under-appreciated for a couple years. So seriously, just be quiet already. You've been given the information disproving your theory, just take it like a man and be done with it. Geez. Edited, Jun 14th 2011 9:45am by BartelX
