What does the Windows Event Viewer say about the crash? (Should be easiest to find under "Custom Views" -> Administrative Events")

I just got out of class and I already have to get moving again, so to be brief I'd say check the search results of "ffxivboot.exe" on this forum. Make sure when you're looking for solutions that the Faulting Module is "ffxivboot.exe" and not "atiumdag.dll", they are different problems (atiumdag.dll is an ATI driver crashing). I didn't have the issue with ffxivboot.exe myself, but I know it has come up before.

This is of course, if the reinstall isn't improving things.

I DO recall seeing threads about ffxivboot.exe that weren't crashing due to video drivers. Just takes a bit more scouring I guess.

This crash occurs at the same memory location, but the situation sounds a bit different than yours. Sorry I can't provide any better help. It may help if you could detail your system specs, though. ¯\(º_o)/¯

For anyone having this issue, best thing u can do is just reinstall and get the updates. seems to always happen for me due to a bad torrent dl of an update. If that fails and ur about ready to cry install Ubuntu 11.04 and use win to get ffxiv to work. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=21478&iTestingId=57620
