Windows 7 HelpFollow

I've just downloaded the game, it started twice but now it keeps crashing. i've changed and toggled through all of the game settings but not still works.... So i went to the event viewer and this is what i got?:

Faulting application name: ffxivgame.exe, version:, time stamp: 0x4df0f645
Faulting module name: msvcrt.dll, version: 7.0.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bda6f
Exception code: 0xc0000005

i'm greatly appreciated any feedback i can get to help!

Try searching this forum for msvcrt.dll, I recall hearing about this bug before, but it's been a while and I can't remember how it was addressed. Maybe a bit more info about your computer hardware would help?

Other than that you could try and make sure all your drivers are up to date (GPU,DirectX, etc)

I believe that is Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime (redistributable) Which ones do you have installed under Control Panel->Programs and Features?

Go to Windows Update, click Change Settings and check the box that says:
Give me updates for Microsoft products and check for new optional Microsoft software when I update Windows.

Then check for updates. Are there any updates available through windows update?
Like Final Fantasy XI, the game specs will be extremely high for the time, but in about 5 years, an average machine can run it on max settings with little to no issues. Tanaka also expressed interest in making a benchmark program available.
