Hi I'm new to the game and I'm very unfamiliar with the classes and my question would be between Conjurer and Thaumaturge which one is worth maxing first if I want to be a pure healer?

Thanks

At the minute I would have to say THM because of conal AOE and Sacrifice.

They plan on making adjustments to the jobs. When they do they've hinted that there will be a job more like WHM and one more like BLM. Conjuror would probably be the one that gets split up like that. You'll want to rank up both jobs for optimal use for now. Conjuror has the cure's and raise, THM has the abilities.

THM also has cures and raise as well. I have conj at 50 and thm at 40 and for 'pure' healing, I'd have to suggest leveling both but maining THM. To be a 'pure' healer, imo, would require both leveled. Comparing thm to conj, thm is the better healer as conj aoe range just plain sucks. My speculation is that thm will be the whm and conj the blm, and rdm, if it ever comes out (probably like 2012 or even 2013 lol), will require both conj/thm to be leveled.

just my .02 gil

NP. As you can see from my sig you do have to rank CON to 48 to make use of all the abilities that are useful to a THM healer (Protect II and Shell II) but as others have pointed out the new job system might change this. It is fairly certain though that if you rank both classes up you are hopefully hedging your bets that somewhere you will get your healer job.

I'm finding that THM has **Incredible** healing, buffing & removing debuffs like poison from themselves and their team mates at the same time. It's pretty amazing the conal range for all the THM/CON spells. It makes my CON cry.

MND affects healing spells, however, physical levels are going away, so soon you won't be able to assign your points yourself.

THM is mostly WHM with a little BLM
CON is mostly BLM with a little WHM.

I'd say it's pretty evenly split.

Wrong.

Hey everyone, I know you're all excited to see how allocating stats will change in the future! While we can't give away too many specific details, we did confirm with the team that on class rank up the process of allocating points will still be controlled by the player.

Also I have disagree with people who are saying THM would become a pure healer if SE goes down that path. The Lore is completely, utterly NOT that of a WHM.

THMs are like a death cult...
