So I thought I would come back to Zam and ask "THE QUESTION", how much improvement has been made to FFXIV since release? What improvements if anyone feels like listing them. Thank you!

If this board wasn't so empty, I would say something about you being lazy and using the search function, but that isn't the case today!

I'll list what I know:

Additional Targeting options
Max Party size reduced to 8
Parties now benefit from stat and sp bonuses at 4 members, and even greater bonuses at 8
Sp is now gained in 1 lump at the end of the fight instead of per hit, which is great for parties
There's now a dramatic sp bonus from 1-23
You can lower the difficulty of a levequest now
MANY random quests have been added, and quest givers have "!" over their head.
You can search for items in the Retainer Wards, see their prices, and mark the retainer with a star.
Lots of NMs have been added, both for leves and roaming.

All in All, a lot of changes have been made but at the same time, not much has changed. We're all sitting here holding our breathe for the next patch that is supposed make the game feel like an entirely new game, with auto attack and instanced dungeons to tackle.

since release?

add to that some UI tweaks, most noticeably in crafting (much better now)
stability and lag issues better but not completely gone.

also to echo, we're holdin our breath for the next patch which should be in about week, is said to be a large patch.

Theres a few threads about on people coming back and enjoying the game, if you havent played since launch its worth a go. the game hasnt completely changed but its a lot more playable now

I've been playing on and off since beta (mostly off) but I haven't played it in 2+ months. I started playing again recently and I am enjoying it.

It's the best free-to-play mmo on the market :)

It's not really free to play, it's just free currently. You can spend a few months leveling up your character and then they start charging the full price fee.

It's more of an extended free trial mode.

Way to take a joke as serious. Do you really think I thought FFXIV is free for life?

It had to be a joke. Because even if FFXIV was really F2P, it's a LONG way from the best of them.
