Hello Yoshi, this is a thread from the community. I am starting it and hoping that constructive feedback can be provided through the comments section. Most of us are waiting in hopeful anticipation that 1.18 will bring us some more content/excitement to provide an immersing experience over the next few months as new ideas begin to be implimented. With that in mind I would like to provide posters with an oppertunity for a legitimate gripe/suggestion thread that hopefully you will read. We'll set the rules.

-3 topics

-Ideas that have not been previously mentioned in letters from the producers as things that are going to be implimented, unless poster feels the need that a large change in the idea needs to be addressed (i.e. Auto attack is coming, leave it alone lol(

-No White knight or trolling. I know this won't happen, but lets actually put together something that is going to provide some sort of use.

-Keep in mind that these suggestions should be designed not only for content and small adjustments, but to retain current customers, bring in new customers, and welcome back old customers who have given up.

I know it is very cocky and selfish to think that this thread will ever make it to the development team. But myself as well as others may feel that since the game is being overhauled from the ground up, now would be an ideal time to see what your playerbase would like to see in the game. This will be more open ended than a multiple choice survey, so there may be a LOT more to go through.

Lets see where this goes.

I'm kind of sad they haven't mentioned improving lag for a long time now. It's noticeably better than at launch, but it still could be a lot better.

I might be mistaken but if you were to have posted this on the official forums there would be a much better chance that Yoshi/development team would look at it.

Already a thread for this, anyway. http://ffxiv.zam.com/forum.html?forum=152&mid=1286816918312899321

The more threads you make, the less likely anyone is to take anything serious. I do share your frustrations, though, and there's nothing wrong with picking a specific topic and discussing ways to make it better. It's just that starting another thread where people, in most cases, are just going to vent about something that's been discussed before is redundant.

the game is not optimized for different PCs. it will never become a popular game until it is. even if you add a lot of content , people with strong PCs don't want to play a game like FFXIV at 30 fps.

30 FPS is about as fast as the human eye can see, 30 fps is fine, a little over that, you *might* notice a difference, but too much more over that, and it's just a waste. 30 fps is more than acceptable, and you don't need a beastly PC to run this game, just a modest video card, CPU and 4+ GB DDR3 ram. These people who brag about 200+ FPS, it's just a joke, shows how much they really know.

You need an animated comparison or a trip to the optometrist, because the human eye can detect far more than 30FPS.

Can detect, but really isn't necessary. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frame_rate

Just sayin'. You don't need 200 FPS. If you can get it, great, but 20-30 FPS alone is no reason to call a game bad.

for me, 20-30 fps is a perfectly reasonable complaint...im not sure how you can not tell the differece between 30 fps and 60 fps ffxiv, its sluggish in comparison

The higher over 30 FPS your game is running, the bigger the performance hit it can take (say, because you just walked into a crowded city zone at prime time, or you just opened up that porno vid you torrented, or whatever) before you actually notice it, no?

Perfectly good examples of exactly what I was trying to avoid. the link posted ifyou havent checed it out is actually the complaints department. This is not a complaint thread. I'm asking to please stay on topic, and if you have nothing useful to contribute... Don't hit the reply button please

Granted, but if you need a $1500 computer for less than stellar results... you can call the coding bad. There is a much more noticeable difference between 30 and 60 FPS than there is between 60 and 200 fps. 60 FPS is a pretty standard goal to get in a PC game. You're not gonna get that in XIV with a standard budget.

Too early man. Coffee shot right out of my nose. I couldn't tell if it was because I was laughing so hard or having a seizure trying to watch that. I hope that person doesn't still play.

Not remotely true. There's a huge difference between 30 fps and 60 fps. Try downloading a sample video on the subject, places like youtube will just re-encode it as 30 fps.

-more depth for DOL classes (and DoH - but DoL needs it the most)
-MOAR RECIPES
-MOAR Fish to catch and neat things to do with them
-More gear with cooler stats and effects

I'm all for improving the game, if nothing else just so that we don't get these many threads about how bad the game is and how it won't ever come to anything...

Regardless, I still say that this is not the proper place to put any kind of suggestion to SE, if this is what you really want then you should be using the following:

Se Official Forums.

ZAM Feedback Forum.
