I just came back last night after hearing the game is still free for now. So far im enjoying the changes made, the bazaar search function is amazing. The less time i have to spend in there the better. And the new graphic options makes the game run smooth on my "middle of the road computer." More content would be nice but for now i think i might stick with the game a while.
Welcome to Besaid!
On to the questions.
Where do people go to sell stuff now? (besaid server) Do they set up shops anymore or do people just hit the bazaars an use personal shops just for extra storage? If so what city do most people use for the bazaar?
Like the others have said, Ul'dah market wards is the place to go for shopping. I check bazaars on people from time to time but they are almost always just being used to store extra items for 999,999,999 gil.
Also in the early levels, if i want to wear specific armor for looks will it really hurt me in damage? Figured i would start over at level one, and i forgot just how unattractive most armor seems to be.
Do you mean like wearing a level 40 piece of armor at rank 10? I think that will still dramatically impact your stats, but rank 1-20 can be done in a day of easy playing now, so you might as well wear what you like during that time. :)
Edited to answer the new questions haha
Is this patch going to be really game changing? I havnt seen notes on it or anything yet. I did notice some new story quests in LL, of course im only level 7 with rank 10 archer, so i assume there could be more.
But yea so far LL seems to be pretty dead, which doesnt bother me too much since my prefered early level grind spot is the sheep over by the light house. But im more concerned with making some cash, i used to sell shards an sheep leather, but with so few low level players im not sure what to sell anymore. Do the shards still sell?
Shards still sell quite well, though the price tends to fluctuate depending on which city you're in and how many people are competing to sell theirs first.
This upcoming patch is going to be introducing Grand Companies and some other stuff--it seems to be setting up the stage for all the really big changes to come. Edited, Jul 17th 2011 5:11pm by Aveline
