-Strength affects how hard your character hits with melee
-Vitality affects your defense and total hitpoints
-Dexterity affects a players accuracy
-Intelligence affects how effective magic spells are
-Mind affects your elemental resistances and MP pool
-Piety affects magical accuracy

I uninstalled the game when I hit the mid 30s DoW, but from what I've picked up stats are largely useless outside of VIT and MND. Yes, the core mechanics of this game are that awful. Others are more qualified to answer this, obviously, but I'd focus on HP and MP.

It won't matter come 7/22 as they're removing physical levels and, thus, attribute points.

It is not necessarily the case that physical levels are being removed on 7/22 (or 7/21). If this is the case, you'll need to allocate points for another month or longer. Moreover, I haven't heard that attributes will be removed, only the ability to allocate them.

Physical Level will be removed, along with the stamina bar and several other former battle mechanics. About attribute points though, I don't think it's known anywhere whether the points for each class will be automatically allocated, or whether you'll be able to assign stats independently per class.

I'd like to see a link to this, as I keep a heavy eye on the lodestone & dev posts on the official forums and have found no mention of an exact patch.

Somewhere in this forum you'll find threads to tell you what level to set your points for Str and Vit was the main posting .Search and you will find the stats for your level.

I'm not saying you are right or wrong, but you didn't conjure up a link either. If someone has something definitive, I'd love to just bury the confusion on this already.

I concur. Either way as per the topic, attribute allocation is pretty moot. Hopefully they will address this in 1.18 regardless of physical levels staying, or being removed. If they stay, I hope they at least move the stat allocation part over to individual classes. I don't see them being able to utilize the new battle mechanics properly with physical level staying in place as it is currently.

I wouldn't, trust me, I did looking for information on it and so far nothing... the best I can find is that it's part of "summer changes" <- however after watching the raid introduction video again, you can clearly see the physical level bar so you may be right...

Noooo! Not another several months with physical levels! I want to be able to actually change classes without penalty.

Oh, well, at least it's coming...
