Is anyone moving to a different city today?Follow

If so, what is your primary reason?

Me, I plan on trying to make Gridania my hub, mostly because I'm currently focusing on Lancer and Botanist, and want to be in the city with those guilds.

I also am going to Gridania.

I like it there despite its Maze-ness

I started out in Gridania. Somewhere around December I started migrating towns every other week ranking each jobs evenly. I do miss it though, and I plan on doing the Company activities there with my Linkshell.

LL is more of a maze, IMO, grid is just large. But at least everything is on one map wit no levels.

Hmmmm, sure would like to move to anything other than Uld.....area is so blah (I like green spaces). Grid is much more interesting and pretty. However, I am focused on THM and Goldsmithing so I might be out of luck until they start the airships and if Anima changes will help.

I think he's referring to the area itself, meaning Black Shroud. La Noscea is far more convenient in terms of leaving the city, which this patch seems ****-bent on making people GTFO Ul'Dah.

Me, I'm gonna be a wanderer a la the old school hobos, goin' from town-to-town spreading my crazy train-riding (Airship??) experiences and eating beans in the middle of nowhere.

We're all hobos until they finally add in player housing.

Also This. I have run some polls on our LS forums. We want to do GC missions together and Gridania is by far the most popular choice in my LS. ^^

I'm from Grid and I try so hard to remain stationed there as my home of operations... but it's sooooo hard considering how little I play lately to justify being the only active person in a city. I hope this patch brings some things that repopulate Grid a bit for the times I do get a chance to log in.

I may go with LL, depending on how things play out.

I don't think we'll see an exodus from Ul'dah until 1.19. Ul'dah still is the economic center. It'll be tough to break that until travel is easier between city-states.

I haven't been really keeping up with the GC info a whole lot, but it may come down to any specializing in the different areas. Either with the rewards you can get with currency or in the tasks/missions themselves. Character in my sig is pretty much just pugilist with everything else mixed in. My other is a fisher, alchemist, mage. I'll go where they're benefited the most.

If that's a toss-up then maybe just keep 'em in their home nations.

Trying to decide between Gridania and Limsa (***** Ul'Dah, I even started there but I'm so sick of it :(). I'm tempted to do Gridania just because I like architecture there more, but I like the whole beachside look that Limsa has going.

I'm not going to decide on a city based on guilds though, unfortunately all my classes are spread equally between all 3 cities. Doing Carpentry, Blacksmithing and Goldsmithing... Botany and Mining. My combat classes are all in Gridania though >.> Archer and Conjuror.

But if people want to find the best center for new content... almost all the new content will come from Gridania region with new level 25 dungeon and the raid being in Coerthas which makes Gridania the only place you can easily walk to and from that location if you want to save anima.

An Ul'danite to the core. I love the arid desert and the coencentric circle layout of the city. So I'll be staying in Uldah for the most part.
