So this is somewhat of a strange question, and one that I do not truly expect a great deal of response to; but as someone who has managed to sequester myself for the majority of my playtime - and therefore not have a linkshell at the moment - I would like to take a moment to get a feel for the pulse of the community on early raids. Would you(indirect plural) likely attempt the new raids in a pickup group as soon as the content is avalible, or will you(indirect plural) wait for linkshell members or friends to try them with?

IF FF14 was out for PS3, and IF I had actually bought it, I would try out the raids with a pick up group. I mostly played pick up groups in FF11, was the most fun.

Congrats on you(indirect plural) getting Guru status, I remember back in the day when you were still a lowly peasant like me.

Personally I wouldn't pug any new content. It's endlessly frustrating when you try to communicate with randoms. It's easier when You can work with your own group of people, especially if you have vent or something.

Thank you, although truth be told, I've been Guru for a while now. Waffled between Guru and Sage for a bit until it finally settled on Guru. I'm actually somewhat surprised anyone recognizes me, given how rarely I post.

Wanton narcissism aside, this is too bad to hear. Although, to be honest, I fully understand where that sentiment is coming from. If I had my druthers, I would have a linkshell to do these raids with. Between rarely having time to log on, and only soloing a few guildleves when I do, I haven't had much opportunity to be social unfortunately.

LS only until I get the hang of what it is. Co-operation is heavily required on the first few tries where you know nuts, and it's harder to achieve that with some random guy who would most likely hop out as soon as he/she/it thinks it's futile to continue.
