Why is it that when leve mobs pop they go right for the mage no matter where they are? It's my main complaint. Is there any good reason for it to be programed this way?
Who would you disable first:
1.) The low-damage, high-HP character with ample support and tons of defence?
2.) The high-damage character with few defences?
3.) The highest-damaging character who also heals and supports the party, enfeebles his/her targets, and who happens to have both the lowest HP and lowest defence?
Kill the mage first, tank last; it's BCNM-101.
You're not complaining that monsters have decent AI... are you?
(In all honestly, it's probably whoever popped it first. It would be silly, however, to lament decent AI; who wants to fight something stupid, what does that prove?)
