Admins, sorry I've made so many new posts today, a lot of different information hitting all at once.

For those of you asking for a brief tutorial on the new "Seek Invite" system we updated the Lodestone with just that. We are taking all the feedback we've seen thus far, which is a lot as I'm sure you're all keenly aware, and will be discussing it with the dev. team.

In the future, we do plan to make it a more streamlined experience when seeking a party, similar to the party search systems of other MMOs.

The guide is here.

Not that I am ungrateful for the posting, but I do hope they have plans to just give us a flag up\sea all method.

It just seems like a lot of steps on both sides of the recruitment that really belongs more in like a looking for linkshell interface.

I'm with you on that. There's a lot of systems out there so it'd be interesting to see which they gravitate toward.

If there needs to be a tutorial, it's too complicated.

I think you're greatly overestimating the average person.

We should not simplify anything that may need a tutorial, we should be discerning about what is complicated enough to warrant one. For example, I would want a battle system deep enough for some people to think it needs a tutorial. A "looking for party" menu, on the other hand, not so much.

Some things should be complicated, but not everything, and certainly not the wrong things. XD

Note: you may have had "the party seeking system" as an implied subject, in which case we're saying the exact same thing but in different words.

I was specifically referring to party seeking :)

I totally agree on point Kane!

I understand the current system is abhorred by many but if you could essentially put up a flag (even if it isn't visible) for a random invite, search for a party and/or wait for a shout why wouldn't you do as many as possible to increase your chances?

You can do all of these with the changes they made in 1.18. Regardless, of how many people use the system it would have a propensity to improve your odds, even if only slightly.
