Dont assume this will cover it but i would like to see the chat window and text altered, at present the background is to see through meaning often it is difficult to read.
Have been unable to locate a setting in the options to alter the darkness of this background.

Hopefully this fixes the issue where the bar is "always active" in windowed mode and always displays an ability's help text unless I wiggle my mouse,

Under Config > Chat Log there's a bar to adjust log transparency.

Also Config > Font Color will let you fool around with the colors.

I believe it's the transparency slider under: Configuration -> Chat/Tabs (can't remembe exact name, but it's same place you choose the chat you want to have logged) :)

I really hate that help text. You just can't get rid of no matter what and I really don't need to constantly be reminded of what Skewer II does.

Not much information here, certainly far less than I thought there would be to warrant a front page headline. You really don't even need to read past the title, "Improvements to the Action Bar and Unit Frames," since all the body gives you is "it'll be improved and look better, man."

Only issue I have with the current action bar is that certain backgrounds make it easy to miss what action you're currently highlighting. Hopefully they just add a small animation to the highlight cursor and not much else because I feel the images and size of the new bar are just about right already, it's just the highlight ring in very certain situations.

Any kind of improvement to the interface is a good thing, but I think most players would like SE to worry more about UI lag than any other aspect.

Also, give me /Assist already. >.>

I think that's what they're changing given the screenshot. The only other thing I noticed was the orange box behind the unit frame. I really hope that if that is something they're adding, it can be turned off. It's ugly and I like it the way it is. I just want to make my party frames larger.

I didn't see the SS until now... OP linked the official forums which didn't have it ^^ I do like that better. Hopefully everything else is NOT bigger, or at least adjustable.

It would help out a lot if all three action bars can show at once. It would definitely free up the "up" and "down" arrows for the targeting system.

If that screenshot represents the "after," honestly it looks exactly the same except with colored boxes around the HP/MP, which, is not better.

I think they're just trying to make the action bar more prominent against any background. As someone said above, sometimes the circle around abilities blends into the background.

Yes, and let us bind the bar keys to whatever we wish. This is a PC game and we shouldn't be have to deal with fixed button layouts.

While I am not about to tote the current system as a paragon of UI design excellence - quite the opposite - there is a fundumental issue with making all three bars visible at all times and detaching them from the arrow keys. Namely, many of us use keyboard shortcuts because clicking on icons is too slow. However, with the bars divided up, the Dev team is suddenly faces with the issue of having to create a way to hotkey to all three bars simultaneously. They could use CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT, but CTRL and ALT are already bound to macros. At this rate, they're going to bloody expect us to use BELL+num if we're not careful!

You know how every party member has his/her name and an HP and MP bar on the lower right of your screen? Click on the party member you want to target in that list. That way, you don't have to individually target party members in a morass of bodies.
