I found myself thinking about playing XIV at work today for the first time ever since release. And also for the first time i feel a little upset that I wont get to play tonight! It makes me happy to feel this way about an mmo again after so many disappointments over the last few years. And there is SO much to look forward to in 1.19 i don't know what i want from it most. Well thats all just felt like sharing.

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

Nothing wrong with a bit of positivism. At this rate, we may actually have a few white knights around here again! :D

What with having more time to play and some one to play with I have to agree, I've been thinking of the game even while at work!

Sorry, but you're not a white knight until you replace the words "at work" in the above sentence with "having ***."

Immediately after having *** my wife informed me that she would be using my computer tomorrow (my day off) to play FFXIV. I hate my wife.

That's harsh, but imagine if it had been immediately after having *** with you!

I believe the word you are looking for is "positivity." Positivism is an unrelated field of philosophy whose name is derived from another definition for "positive:" certainty. Take a moment to review the included link and you'll see what I mean.
U USED THW WORNG WORD ON TEH INETERENET BOY U SUR LOKO SILLY NOW

Edit: You are, however, correct. There is nothing wrong with a bit of positivism.

I am sorry, but I believe you missed the intention my original post. I was positing that the potential influx of white knights, being ardently convinced (on new grounds) that their path is the correct one, resemble, to me, the philosophical system founded by Auguste Comte. I shall elaborate. This "new wave" of white knights (we'll henceforth call them neo-knights) will be concerned with positive facts and phenomena (i.e., the steady improvement of the game), and will be excluding speculation upon ultimate causes or origins (that is to say, they will decide that they must move beyond the first year of release and cite it as a non-issue). In short, when I initially claimed that there was nothing wrong with a little positivism, I actually did not mean positivity.

...that, or my inferior FireFox spell-check add-on didn't recognize "positivity" and prompted me to change it to "positivism." I'll let you decide which. :P

Thinking about video games at work really does sound like ~science~ formulating a connection between the two.

Interesting how that works sometimes. When I can play XIV all I want I tend to get burnt out easily. I have to mix it up and do other things. Take some breaks perhaps.

Though I just went without my computer for a couple weeks waiting on a replacement gpu from EVGA and I definitely missed it when I couldn't have it. So annoyed that if I happened to be in the mood to play I wouldn't be able to.
