Upcoming Projects of State AlchemistFollow

#1 Aug 19 2011 at 1:35 AM Rating: Excellent
Hello again everyone! I know it has been a while since I have been active on ZAM, mostly due to a short hiatus (waiting on patch 1.18). Well I am please to announce that I am officially back, and with sweeping changes coming to Eorzea, I am happy to inform the community that I will be updating my existing guides on ZAM to more accurate assist those interested in crafting. Currently I have two guides available, Carpentry and Alchemy. I have held off on ranking Alchemy to 50 in lieu of the fishing related recipes added by SE (still mad about that SE!!!) so in the meantime I have trekked through Carpenter and currently hold the rank of 41. As I already have the materials needed to get to rank 50 it is just a matter of time.

So what is State up to, you ask? Well, I am here to announce my upcoming projects so here we go... For all of you out there aspiring to be masterful workers of the weave I will be starting work on my newest guide 'State Alchemist's Guide to Weaving'. My third guide will be updated heavily based on anticipated changes coming in 1.19/1.20 but I intend to stay on top of it as I release finished portions to my guide.

Also I would like to state that some information will be removed from my guides as I am deciding to streamline them for the essentials to crafting quickly through each class. I am encouraging the ZAM staff to update the class pages individually to include the more pertinent data for each class that my current guides already contain, as I still feel that the information should be easily found here.

And finally, and this is more to the ZAM staff then to the community, I encourage you to make editing database information an easier process for the community, so that we can actively help maintain a high level of accuracy. There is still a large amount of inaccurate/missing data. Seriously ZAM, if you need some help, just hire me to manage your database. It's not like I have anything better to do then play FFXIV and help you out. ^^;

As for future projects, I am anticipating getting Rank 50 Clothcraft approximately the same time as reaching rank 50 Botanist at which time I will begin fishing and cooking and will begin guides accordingly. While I will probably do the cooking guide on my own, I might look for someone to collaborate with for writing the guide to fishing (similar to how I collaborated to make the Botany guide that is currently here on ZAM.

In conclusion, I hope everyone is doing well and having fun. I am very excited with how FFXIV has change is is going to change, and encourage everyone to help out in keeping ZAM updated with new information, and correcting inaccuracies in the database by at least posting correct information.

Sorry for the wall of text, love ya all!

Oh wanted to add that Either this week or next week, I will be devoting a majority of my free time to research missing information in the database (or correcting inaccurate data as I find it) of course it will all be in the form of posting individual comments, but hey...its all i can do at the moment lol.
