Nothing note worthy but fun read.

Mutamix is shown holding a green sphere so it seems they'll be the same mako spheres in both name and apperance. Not that I didnt already assume as much.

This is actually just lore to introduce Materia system onto the game, no information about the use of Materia.

I really hope that they decide to have the weapons or armor glow after you put the materia on it, so as to show the difference between an item that has materia attached and one that doesn't. For example, if you have a wind materia on a weapon, the weapon should have a greenish glow to it, or if its a fire materia it should have a red glow to it.

Maybe they can have like energy surging around it if they don't want them to glow. I think this would make the materia system much more interesting.

It'd be 20% cooler than a regular claymore.

This does kinda give information... Like there will be a goblin outside the Ul'Dah walls who does stuff with materia, and what his name will be.

Looks like we'll have geomancer as a job in the future, cause if it's mentioned ingame sooner or later you'll be able to become it.

This guy is talking about Chocobo Knight in my thread... Epic troll? Or hopeless dreamer?

Regardless: the fact that it's mentioned in the lore of the game is so very, very far from being a guarantee that it will be playable.

On materia: This system always makes me chuckle, because if they had implemented something like this during development and mashed together FF7 and FF9's ability system (Every unique weapon has a skill that it gives, once crystallized it can be equipped as materia (via set points) you would have permanent access to it for as long as it was equipped) that's one way I could have imagined a tremendous boost to the economy, and them actually figuring out how to make the armory system work... But they half committed to the idea of classes so...

I would prefer this not make our weapons glow, if there's one thing I appreciate about FF, it's the sense of realistic armor and weapon design (or at least believable) and while I support things like enspells (whenever we get them) making our weapons have an effect, having them constantly glowing would annoy the crap out of me. I wouldn't mind seeing the actual materia item embedded into the weapon though.

As long as I get shoulder-pads that tower above my head and feature multiple flame-breathing skulls impaled on pulsing earthen spires covered in cobwebs and exuding giant particle effects that always face the camera no matter which way I rotate it, I'll be happy. It's not a real armour set until my character looks like he rolled around an all-metal curio shop while wearing a powerful magnetic suit.

Community reps look at all the major fan sites, not just their own forums. Certainly they aggregate information on their own forums more easily, but if you think they don't have people watching other major sites, particularly responses to news postings etc, you're fooling yourself.

That's not to say they're going to take your feedback to heart, 99.9% of the time.

The devs have mentioned exactly that. It was in the recent Famitsu special edition. Of course, musketeer and archanist won't come till after the current classes/jobs are balance, but it's something to hope for.

I want aquatic gear that looks like a fishbowl, and inside there's like,
1000 piranhas constantly chasing each other
and of corse a crocodile spitting fire
while underwater
and spitting sharks while on land.

P.S.: My character name in-game is Doomkillerdeath Sefirotcloud
