Where can I go to get the Summer Event Quest? Also maybe a little info about the quest would be appreciated as I've searched the forum and Google and can't find much info on the quest.

For someone who claims to look up information, you seem to be very confused.

In recent days you have started about 8 posts of which most could have been easilly answered by looking up information either here or on official site.

What exactly did you search?

I typed "ffxiv summer event" and it lead me to an identical forum post that had the lodestone link as well as other sites..

I typed "ffxiv firefall faire" and it lead me to about 5 different sites that all had the information about it....

ALSO... ZAM is not the official FFXIV forums, there are tons more people posting on the official forums but I wouldn't suggest asking such trivial questions there. You will get flamed, trolled, and all around owned... especially when the information is so easily found on the internetz.

Anpippin, I'm going to take a guess and assume that you're probably 13 years old, is that about right? As Hugus stated you have asked a lot of questions lately that could have been easily looked up using Google. You claim to have looked up the "Summer Event Quest" on google, but another poster stated how it took them right to the info. So either A.) You're lying and didn't look or B.) You're so young and clueless you have no idea about the Internet or how to play an MMO.

Coming from the same person who made a post about "finding a treasure chest with 1,000 gil?" I'm assuming its probably a combination of A and B.

I like helping people, but not when then they refuse to even try to help themselves or look up any information about the game they are playing. It's really actually very frustrating when you see question after question after question from the same poster and they are all generic easy to understand / figure out / or find elsewhere.

Roar! Never ask about things! Look it all up yourself! Forums are not for talking!

Don't ask about an event - look it up on Google!
Don't ask about a class - look it up on the wiki!
Don't ask how skills work - do the research on your own!
Don't discuss updates - the information has already been supplied by SE!

If we all follow these writs (and make sure to complain as much as possible - huge rants that people won't read work best, of course - when somebody doesn't look something up on their own), we can eventually transform the forums into the places we always wanted them to be: silent repositories of searchable data.

Exac.... oh eye see what you dud thurrr.

The point being, there are dozens of other places to find the information about certain questions. Asking for clarification on something is different from "I'm too lazy to type in google and browse for 10 seconds, so I'll just ask the question on ZAM and have someone else do the work".

Example 1 (for you simple folk): Can someone explain how 'Rage of Halon' works? It says "deals percentage of damage while readying" what does that mean?

Example 2 (derp da herp folk): How do I get to the Black Shroud from Gridania, I have a quest to get to Camp Bent Branch where is that?

Example 3 (trololol kids): What does a Gridania walnut do, I got one and I'm not sure what is it for, is it a quest?

See Kane, there is a difference between asking questions and being an idiot. Example 1 is asking a question that would be considered acceptable (in my most humble opinion) while example 2 and 3 are just idiot, waste of time, are you kidding look it up questions.

Also, the OP has created several 'durr I'm too lazy to look it up just tell me' posts the past few days.

I do love your extreme view on this topic though, " we can eventually transform the forums into the places we always wanted them to be: silent repositories of searchable data " because anyone said that you can't ask questions, discuss updates, ask about skills or clarification. I guess I should start making forum posts for every single quest I'm on, and at each step I'm going to make a new post "Ok I'm at Uldah, now what do I do?"... "Ok I'm in the Merchant Ward, now what do I do?"... "Ok I talked to XYZ npc, now what do I do?"... see where I'm going with this? It's one thing to ask a question it's another to be an idiot. I guess you can't figure out the difference.

I'd love to be in the OP's linkshell, if only for educational reasons.

Come on guys, There is no stupid question! Except, possibly, a question not asked.

There was a thread for stupid question on this forum that was real helpful for a few months. You should make a macro of the event emotes and once you start healing and buffing the bomb this quest loses any challange.

Yes, however here's something to consider before asking a question that is considered elementary.
Type it out and follow the following before you post.
1) Read it, and see if answer comes natural (as if some one's asking you)
if no
2) Have you exhausted every other means of obtaining the answer (search engine, read the forums)
if yes
3) Have you checked main source
if yes
4) Have you consulted with "friends in game"
if yes
5) Have you asked around on your server
if yes and still no answer
6) Post on forums, and cross fingers

Ok but in all seriousness, no one is forcing anyone to 'do the work'. Just don't answer if you feel this way.

Seriously guys, enough. Karma camping is against forum rules, so Excenmille, don't try it. As for you Johnnypsama, insulting Excenmille in return isn't anything better. If you have a problem with what he's doing, then just report it. There's no reason to flame in as well, because it puts you in the wrong as well.

As Warmech mentioned, here is the thread started to answer small, simple questions -> Post your noob question here (don't be shy!)

Did you manage to find the information to answer your initial question OP?
