I am wondering what is the best windower that support full screen? The reason I ask is that when I am using FFEVO the recast timer is all ***** up and is not correct. As to why.... The game run better when it is in full screen mode and I like the ability to alter tab out the game when needed....

You need a recast timer for XIV?

While I agree that an alt-tab is needed, I just wouldn't trust a third party program.

Sorry Almalexia, we don't allow linking to third party tools like that, you can discuss them but no actual links please. Thanks!

Aikar made one that just hides the borders, so you get pseudo full screen. That's what I've used, it's simple and I trusted him from XI.

I use one called Fullscreenit made by someone here (might have been Aikar).

Alternatively, a program called shiftwindow is a decent enough general purpose full screen utility. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to either, since we are discussing them in regards to the game, but both are for general use and neither has any plugins, so are in no way cheats.

As far as I know, the FFEvo Windower doesn't yet provide true fullscreen, but rather simulates it much like a general purpose application. In addition to a custom launcher it has some kind of plugin support but I don't think there are any especially useful plugins out there yet.

I personally use an Auto Hotkey script which removes the borders and centers the window on my screen.

AutoHotKey, but of course use at your own risk.

My timers get screwed up like that sometimes, but it usually gets corrected after I restart my computer.
Tried just restarting ffxiv, but that did not work. It is very frustrating for sure. First happened to me fighting the Ogre, kept noticing multishot was constantly up but could not use it since the timer was only running for like 3 seconds them stopping.

Edit: I fail at iPad typing

I'll endorse ShiftWindow here, which works on most everything, not just FFXIV
it isn't automated, but it's really easy to set up and activate

I found a program called "Games window relocator" around launch that still works. Supposed to work with all games up to Dx9. I've had mixed results with games other than FF14.

I can vouch for the simplicity and functionality of Aikar's FFXIV windower. A Google search will take you to it.

The only downside I have found is that it conflicts with some log parsers.
