Black pearl ring = +5 magic accuracy... 1m each level 38

Pearl ring = +4 accuracy, 80k each. level 32
XXX ring = +5 of a stat, 20k each, level 31.

Due to stat point inflation something tells me Str/int/vit/etc is far inferior to defense/magic pot/spell hit/melee hit.

For a leveling thau(maybe con later), should I just invest 300k for the 4 pearl rings? or will +20 piety/int benefit me more?

I only have about 800k atm which is more than enough for my gear till the 40s but I still want to make sure my purchases are worth it.

Don't know how INT works, but if you're a fan of DoTs, Piety is going to give you the best gains, it raises damage per tick and accuracy.

It's not uncommon in the history of FF MMOs for a BiS piece to be much lower than your current level.

Melee want even lower level accessories. The higher equip costs really kill most of the high level accessories.

As a spell caster myself, I actually use +5 Mind rings x2 as well as Blue Coral Wristbands

The extra 1 HP and 1 MP probably isn't worth the 1 extra Equip cost on those.

Ideally, I'd rather use those or those, but 3 Black Pearls per synth won't be cheap, and plain Pearls are a bit of a pain to get for me at the moment.

Therefore, I settled with 8 less MP, and 30 more HP, which does not seem like such a bad idea in any case.

+MND from accessory affects your cures, THM nukes (which you should use over elemental nukes, even on CON)

+MND doesn't affect your maximum MP, but +MP on gear does.

Maximum MP has a direct impact on MP regeneration / minute thanks to Exaltation and Tranquility.

It is unclear if +MND or Maximum MP has a direct impact on MP regeneration / tick out of combat. If anyone can prove one way or the other, I'd like to hear it.

what? mind affects thau nukes?

Doesn't int affect damage and piety increases accuracy and reduces partial resists?

Pie and INT are broken. I do 1k with banish on Darkhold skeletons. I have 15 INT.
My friend with 100Int doesn't do much better or worse.

I focus on Mag acc on THM, and so 4x black pearls are the way to go when DoTing or nuking. For healing, 2 MND and potency chokers.

Piety is not broken, you may want to do some research. It raises DoT accuracy and Damage per tick quite noticeably.

The general rule for attributes (and spells) are outlined in the link below:
http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/pl/topics/detail?id=92e2a2ee13f174b5a6f5f658135e1bf4ab725f29

I'm pretty sure I have seen somewhere (but can't find it atm) that showed THM's banish/scourge were MND-based, just as Banish is in FFXI.

Personally, I keep my INT low enough to get Divine effect from Raisins, so that I get +7.5% MP and M.Potency.

I haven't seen someone say this before now, actually.
Mind you, I haven't focused on THM/CON, so it may have slipped by unnoticed.

Where did you hear this?

You make it sound like it's a rumor, here's the relevant literature.

Huh, it's been up for around 4 months, but this is the first I've heard of it.

Thanks.

I did post those DoT facts on this forum already. Thread is even on the front page, but people don't take it seriously, they rather have their own little theories, like Mnd for Banish.

I actually did some levequests as a thau with marauder stats, I found that my level 26 thm had quite a significant amount of partial resists and stuff against 26 mobs with 13piety as opposed to my 55.

You do seem right with intelligence, it does not seem to have a noticeable effect until maybe 50-80 points are in it, I am currently having just 41 int(I just put points in it while it only had a cost of 1) and 70vit/55mnd/55piety.
