They should have kept it like FFXI, it was better and made more sense.

Umm... to bad?

This isn't XI, but it would help if you were a little more specific. Better how, what about the item stats is it that you don't like?

They are overhualing the whole item and atribute systems in comeing patches so it's hard to muster the interest to debate this currently, I and I'm sure otheres here would be happy to point you twards info on the changers if you want.

Items in this game are lacking compared to any new mmo. On hit effects? increase to crit? dmg? etc etc. None of that exist here.

Do I have to say it again?

"Oh no, I don't have a leet sword with +crit" if you realy NEED garbage like that tacked onto your gear go play WoW or whatever... the weapons in XVI were created in such a way as to not need extra bonuses. All the stats needed are there for you to see if you pay atention.
It's one of the things I think they did very well when they made this game. Need more crit chance or bonus damage, then invest in armor that offers higher bonuses in the stats that give those... The stat system in getting fixed so, blah.

You realy are just this dim aren't you? I'm officaly out of this thread, dizzying weight of the OP's massive intilect and understanding of programing and game mechanics is to much for me.

Edit: and yes the misspelling is intended...

This thread lacks substance in a big way.

For what it's worth, I don't want stats to work like they did in FFXI either. Not enough important information is being told to the player, requiring a lot of detailed testing of game mechanics to see how stats would impact damage. Then when you're level synced in FFXI or you're wearing gear that's too low or too high for your optimal range, the real stats aren't being reflected in the item text - you have to figure that out manually. That's the lazy, ineffective method, and has been a problem since FFXI.

I agree. I will reserve any real judgement util the patch is released and I can do a bit of testing on my 50 crp and some of my classes I am still skilling up to get a feel for the changes.
