Unable to find linkshellFollow

#1 Oct 15 2011 at 8:48 AM Rating: Decent
So I bought the game when it launched in US and enjoyed it for what it's worth. Sadly it didn't have enough oumph to keep me around for long periods of time. I have kept my account and leveled several jobs to 25. I started playing again at the beginning of the month and found that my original linkshell was destroyed.

Since I joined back up I spent every moment I'm in a town or camp shouting for a new linkshell. I never get a reply, and nobody seems to care. I jumped on the forums to do the proper way of joining a linkshell. So far I was turned down by a linkshell that wants 20+hrs a week of play ***** that i have a job that i work 42+ hours a week + a fiance).

I tried to join a RP linkshell (hell i thought it might be fun, at least i would be playing with people), i got shot down by them because i guess i wasn't creative enough in my application.

What I really want is a LS like i have in ffxi, one that is at least 4-10 members online doing ****. They don't have to be events, just people to chat with, give advice, shoot the ****. This game as a solo player SUCKS!

Since i got back it seems like its 45+ or go home, kinda like ffxi 75+ or abyssea. I'm finding it hard to xp 25+ due to the large xp gap and that there is nobody searching or willing to party.

If you own a linkshell that sounds like something I would like, please let me know. I really want to love this game, but right now it's like a ******* WoW clone with all the soloing ive been doing. (but 10000x worse). I want to play the game with people, like i used to do in 2004 with ffxi.

Did you try applying to the Linkshells in this thread?http://ffxiv.zam.com/forum.html?forum=197&mid=1293808243298598323

The reason you may be having a hard time is because when people join a ls then quit they are still taking a spot on the ls list. When the ls gets full and most of the members have quit, the ls has to break and reform. That's probably why your old ls is no longer around. That is also why many shells require a time commitment or higher level's so they know you won't use them then leave. The lack of management tools is why I'm waiting for some changes before I start up an end-game linkshell. Anyways, check the list and good luck to you.

Check the threads. The thread here and on the SE website are up to date. Also, if you want, you can friend me in game and ask me for an invite to mine. There's only a few people, but hopefully it could hold you over until you find exactly what you're looking for.

Hey Chop, did you used to be in Synergy? I'm looking for a group as well, and that was what I used to be in but seems gone now.

Blue is right, with the lack of LS controls most LSs tend to be one of two, new Linkshells which will take on most people or older LSs which due to restricted space tend to be a bit more picky.

Esuna is now going through it's second re-pearling (I know other LSs have had many more than that) simply because of a third of its membership dont appear to be ingame any more. To try and prevent this we are now looking for 30+ members.

Level 30 is not something that hard to achieve ingame and will give an idea to LSs that the players are really into the game.

Hey Trocan, yes I used to be in Synergy. I'm sure Synergy is still around, but FFXIV part is no longer active. I've picked back up lately with a buddy of mine to check out the 1.19 patchNo real commitment to anything right now. We have a small LS and if you would like a LS invite just look for me in game. At the very least you can come hang out for a bit while you try to find another LS that might be more towards your liking.

Sure. Though at the moment my game has been nothing but lag... which is super irritating because I used to play on all high graphics and the game ran super smooth... now I can't run it on normal without major latency issues (i.e. turning the mouse, but the camera doesn't turn, or running in one direction and not being able to stop from running till it's too late, etc).
