I recently came back with the 1.19 patch (along with quite a few others I'd imagine). Games feeling good, been logging on consecutive days, etc. Only issue, friends list is empty, none came back and all old LS' and members have vanished. So now I want to try and join a new shell as playing alone in Eorza is beyond painful as there are 0 shouts anywhere, hardly anyone around (minus Ul'Dah), and it just feels barren.
Anyhow, I've checked out quite a few sites for shells on Besaid and most of them only accept members of rank X and above, or players willing to play X amount of hours/week. Some have even put recruiting on hold until SE does something about LS management. Why is this not a priority, you're trying to lure people back to this game, a MMO, and we can't even socialize? I don't blame these shells at all for not recruiting or only accepting certain members, cause reforming every patch would suck. On the other hand, it's extremely difficult to get into a MMO that feels so empty.
I'm sure if SE would just fix the LS management it would solve a lot of issues and shells would be far more welcoming of new/returning players. How hard to can it be to program a remove member option? That's all that's needed. I'm one of these players who enjoys all the changes and would even consider paying come December or what not, but it's hard to wait until these changes are made.
