I, myself, got my account suspended. I even wrote a thread about it, and no one could help me. I did my search and found this in the Lodestone :
"Temporary Suspension of Automatic Renewals for the Subscription-based Billing System
Anyone who has played FINAL FANTASY XIV at any time since its release is already in possession of a FINAL FANTASY XIV service account. These accounts are set to renew their subscriptions automatically, barring deactivation by the account holder. Therefore, if we were to begin regular subscription billings for all existing contracts, players who will not see this announcement or who may not currently wish to pay subscription fees would automatically begin to be charged for their accounts. To avoid this, we have decided to first suspend all automated renewals for service accounts. Only account holders who have agreed to reactivate the automated renewal system will be billed.
Many of you have enjoyed FINAL FANTASY XIV over the past year, growing accustomed to the service we have in place. I realize that this is a terrible inconvenience, but we very much hope that you will continue to enjoy the game. I can only ask for your understanding that we are determined to allow all users an equal opportunity to reach their own decision regarding subscription-based billing. Details regarding precise scheduling will be announced at a later date, as will the official start of the subscription fees."
My situation is a bit complicated tough. I had an old account, was playing one year ago. I quit after a few weeks. But last week, i was in the mall, saw the game was selling cheap. So i bought it. I installed the game, then tried to create a new SE account, but it asked me an EMAIL. Since i only have one, it said i couln't create a new SE account with same EMAIL. Si, instead of creating a new EMAIL and a new account, i reactivated my old account. I linked my new game with my old account.
I got my account suspended for the billing reason. Now i can't have access to my account. I need to fill up a ticket and call SE. Thing is, they wont take off the suspension because i can't prove my identity. I forgot what is the secret answer to the security question i chose over one year ago.
I fought with them, and the SE representative on phone, or chat, don't have access to informations about the reasons why my account is suspended, and if they knew, they are not allowed to share this information to me, because i couln't prove my identity. I tried to reason with them, phone and chat, there was just nothing i could do.
I came to the conclusion that i will have to buy the game again, create a new SE account, with new EMAIL. I lost 2 weeks of gaming, no biggie.
