Unable to connect to FFIV/Lodestone/SEFollow

#1 Nov 12 2011 at 9:42 AM Rating: Decent
Is there anyone able to connect to FF14(Trabia) this morning? I have been trying to login to FF14, but all I got is "11024 Version check time out. Please try again later".

At the same time, I also can't connect to http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com or the main FF14 website.

By identifying what ISP everyone is using - we can determine if it's a TW issue or SE issue. The moment anyone says something other then Time Warner - we know who will be at fault.

Time Warner as well. I called them, but nothing is solved...

It could still fall to both parties - and getting a customer service rep taking frontline calls to recognize an ISP issue... wheather it be Blacklisting SE for some reason or whatever... would probably be impossible. I know any reps for the ISP I work for would be like "uh wat" if someone called in and explained the problem..

Probably going to have to ask for a manager or something - but on Veteran's Day weekend..

The fault could still be SE but.. not sure how they would specifically filter Time Warner traffic - so it's probably TW.

Interestingly...by using Iphone(AT&T), I'm able to connect to lodestone #_#;;

It's an ISP problem.

I have Comcast and am playing the game right now and can also view and browse the Lodestone. In Teamspeak - several friends of mine on Time Warner cannot play.

People need to call into Time Warner and report it - tell them:

You tried pinging website by IP and domain and it cannot resolve.
You cannot log into the game.
It's happening on multiple computers in your residence.
You have friends you play with and they all cannot connect to said websites, features or games.
Say you flushed and registered DNS - and tried to ping IP and domain again - and cannot.

You can also do a: Tracert 202.67.50.139

And tell them the results. That IP is the Lodestone's IP address.

It will be difficult to get a front line rep to do anything.

I can get to Lodestone, login and in-game (also on Trabia). ISP is Verizon.

I think you all got TW'd.

Got back from TW and they're saying it maybe a major outage of one (or more) of their DNS servers that are affecting this (and more beyond just our beef regarding SE's online presence).

No problem logging onto the Lodestone here. Using Time Warner in WI.

According to server status, all the servers have been down including the Lobby and Patch server until about 5 minutes ago (Lobby, Patch and Palamecia servers supposedly up now).

I suppose we can't know how accurate any of the server status sites are, but I've found this one to be correct from my experience:
http://www.ffxivserverstatus.com/

ZAM server status showed all servers up when we all crashed on Rabanastre last week so I wouldn't go by that.

My friend said Time Warner declared a DNS outage for some websites on particular TW servers.

Wonder if it's related to that DNS hijack the FBI are all up in arms about?

Just got off the phone with Time Warner. It appears that Sqaure Enix has blocked time warner users. It's a simple fix...Call them and have them unblock us. Unfortunately SE is only open Mon-Fri and we can't put in a support ticket because we can't log on to our accounts or post it in lodestone.

Can someone please post in Lodestone to see if one of the Devs picks up on it. It would be greatly appreciated.

I also have been experiencing this problem quite often and my isp is verizon fios. Simple fix: Reset your IP (keep in mind that the error may come back).

Two ways to do this:

Leave your router off for 2-4 hours or do a DHCP release and renew. You can do the DHCP stuff by logging into your router. Google is your friend for finding out how to do that.

I'm hardwired. I do have a router, but no network card in my pc. I'm experiencing the same issues. At first I thought it was just me so I looked up the error code and then I tried to go to lodestone and realized it wasn't loading, afterwards came to alla and realized it's sh*tty TW/Oceanic. They need to fix this.
