Hyur Gladiator:
HP:4283
MP:1691

Lalafell Marauder:
HP:4381
MP:1086

Elezen Archer:
HP:3235
MP:1444

Roegadyn Conjurer:
HP:2759
MP:3450

Elezen Thaumaturge:
HP:2607
MP:3548

Lalafell Gladiator:
HP:4789
MP:1691

Lalafell Thaumaturge:
HP:3451
MP:3715

Mi'qote Archer:
HP:2900

Just figured I would bring this up for discussion. And I thought having 1500+ MP was nice... almost 4K MP on Thaumaturge?! Sweet.

Numbers in MMOs are getting to be so large that I barely even know what to think anymore. I wish everyone would agree to just drop the last digit and keep every little increase important. XD

Was anyone able to translate the text from the video. I was curious to see if anyone was able to decipher any of the moogle abilities.

I'm mostly interested in the one which causes the following AoE damage.

Hyur Gla: 4283 --> 2517
Lalafell Exc: 4381 --> 2381
Elezen Arc: 3235 --> 1520
Roegadyn Con: 2342 --> 1118
Elezen Thm: 2607 --> 607
Lalafell Gla: 4511 --> 2511
Lalafell Thm: 3451 --> 2062

My Japanese is atrocious to say the least, but it looks like when they summon The King he hits everyone with Memento Mori. I would assume that this is their version of attack similar to hellfire.

What i am curious about is:
a) 500HP gap between the HP of the Lalafell and Hyur GLA's... that's no small amount?
b) the party set up 2thm,2gla,2arc,1cnj,1mrd, lnc + pug getting the shaft this round?
c) Elezen close to 1000HP less then Lalafell on THM?
d) Lalafell's HP in general, the MRD even has more HP then the GLA Hyur.

As for the fight it seems it will need 2 main tanks for crowd control 1 off tank/dps, 2dps and 3 mages. Should be interesting to say the least. I can't wait to see how the fight gets optimized by the players.

Well if you remember no LNC appeared in the ifrit fight preview video and look what happened with that... xD

I would assume that the video is only there to display an example of the differences that can be achieved. Since we are going back to non-fixed stats, we will be able to have a wide variety in builds... Not that it will happen (people will lock on to min/maxing for their respective classes). But, it's the thought that counts.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure there is a hint somewhere about what to do, or how to do it, but considering how well the hint went over with Ifrit, they may hold off on this one just to see how people do (just like they are not giving step by step instructions on the holiday event this time).

Correct me if am wrong but aren't the 24 or so stat points we get just a bonus on top of the base we currently have? From what i understand we are keeping the base we currently have, and the non-fixed are extra's to use as u see fit.

Sounds correct except for MP totals. They are making a big change kinda like HP did in 1.19.

Edit: however considering the lack of tranquility, siphon mp, etc doubling our mp pool makes since

Conj:

- 14 Action Blissful Mind Gradually reduces HP and stores MP. Effect fades and stored MP is obtained upon reuse.
Recast Time: 30sec.

- 20 Trait Auto-refresh Gradually regenerates MP.

- 38 Action Shroud of Saints Temporarily reduces enmity by half, and gradually restores MP while effect is active.
Recast Time: 180sec. / Duration: 20sec.

Thm:

20 Trait Auto-refresh Gradually regenerates MP. Exclusive

We will be getting 45 points at level 50 if I remember correctly, with the ability to put up to 23 points into any one given stat. So, if my math is correct, that would be like boosting say str by 23 and dex by 22, then stacking str and dex gear on top of it to be able to push your str or dex up by a total of 50+ points.

While yeah, our current stat values don't get modified by much, but with Materia, and certain gear, it would appear that you can get some significant stat spikes (I can see people dumping everything into vit and peity for HP and MP).

Will it out weight the precieved bonus from Bloodwall? who knows...

Big difference from something that gave sometimes over 400MP every cast and an ability that pretty much gave half your MP back to a few gradual mp regens. Still I see your point.

Does anyone recall SE posting base stats? If so, please post the link. I know they showed a chart in the recent patch notes about each of the abilities and what stats they impact. I don't recall a post about base stats and levels.

Since I don't remember seeing it I am going to investigate today when I log in. I'll report on my stats before I assign any points to my attributes.
