Does anyone else see the flaw in this? usually i'm not a complainer, but this seems...quite lame. The comboing I'm fine with, but having to execute things on certain areas of the mob. things dies too fast/move too much for this to even work. . .

Ok here's the deal: All DoW except Archer has two kinds of combo, one starting from front and one starting at the back. It's quite obvious that the one starting from the back deal more dmg but harder to pull, and usually is more feasible to pull out in pt fight where the tank can hold constant enmity to put the target static. However it is not impossible to do it solo, I've pulled out Chaos Thrust combo relatively easy soloing and notice a few things:
You should only move right after you get a hit from the mobs, that way it doesn't face you as quick so you can hit it from behind/rear easier.
Do not use target lock, it's terrible. No idea why it's default on, I set it off from day 1 in pre-release. Free camera movement allows you to move to the side much quicker.
Some obnoxiously large mobs like the toad is harder to pull this off, simply because it's so big that it blocks your view and you can't see where your character is when you move behind/beside it.
Don't do combo macro lol, that would be the last thing you want to do. You would want to throw in buff like Blood for Blood and Keen Flurry before the final big hit anyway. Blindside doesn't affect multi hit anymore so half of the combo it's quite useless.

You can start the self skill chain on one mob and make the next move on a second. This are useful for longer/harder battles. On quick mobs that you chain to XP on-- who cares if you can't get a skillchain off on every one.. I'd rather have xp per hour . Just saying.

I have been casting "spell one" on the first mob and then "spell two" on the second and burning down lower level stuff and on the NM you have to kill to get to Moogle fight they seem to work nicely.

I am looking forward to them re-implementing battle regimen or good old fashioned skill-chains.
