In it's current state, I just can't play FFXIV. If they just did FFXI 2.0 with some more solo stuff and no Abyssea I'd be playing my *** off, but I'm not going to beat a dead horse. . .

Did Yoshi mention any time frame on when we'd be seeing some more screenshots or maybe even a trailer for XIV 2.0? My MMO hopes rest on the possibility of it not blowing.

Thanks

E3 is when they plan to show a trailer. I'd assume screenshots would follow shortly thereafter.

Also I don't know if by "current state" you mean what FFXIV version 1.0 shipped as, but it has improved tremendously thanks to the new team.

Right now we've had a class overhaul done in 1.20 and expect jobs in the new patch. It still has ways to go before it should have been at launch status but its coming along.

Ok cool thanks, I'll look forward to that. I've logged in and tried to play for a few days after each patch, it still can't hold my interest unfortunately. Although, I picked up a Wii and Skyward Sword and it's a good game. I haven't played a single player game since FFXII. Just missin my MMOs :(

People keep saying they think it will be released at the very tail end of I think 2012 or 2013, I am not sure. And just a heads up, after the 6 of Jan, p2p starts, even in it's current state. So if you are curious about future adds and patches while they are working on v2.0 you won't get a chance to try them as far as I know.

To me, it's not worth paying for, even if the monthly sub is discounted. I'd rather save that money for something else I'd enjoy...like crocheting...

Version 2.0 is scheduled for PC distribution around Sept. to Oct. of 2012 as well as the beginning of the PS3 Beta. Ver. 2.0 won't come on sale however until most likely March of 2013. If only they had thought about the fact that maybe they needed 2 more years to finish the game before releasing it...lol.

Thank you. While I agree with the idea that it needs two more years of development, if it was not released as the pile it is now, it may have been a very shiny pile instead. At least with the feedback from players on it's initial direction, we may actually get a game that we can coerce our friends into playing with us for a few years. At least that is what I am hoping for. ::crosses fingers::

*btw I don't want to offend anyone who is currently enjoying the game as it is. I admire your loyalty and appreciate your donations toward the 2.0 development team.

#8LadyDaisyRose, Posted: Dec 31 2011 at 1:28 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If we are enjoying it now it is not because of Loyalty to anything. I am having fun quite frankly. I have no idea what you all are looking for, but I think it boils down to being in the "in crowd". If the crowd still doesn't like it, you don't either. And as for finding something else to do, I am saying this with all sincerity. Please do find something else to do. Crocheting is probably too smart a thing to do for you though.

Wow, really? I am in the same boat as the OP with this game. I really hope this game makes a change for the good come 2.0 as i am really enjoying SWTOR but for some reason it seems it may not have the staying power for me but only time will tell on that. But anyway, the OP is one of the few complaint threads that actually are not just dogging SE and that this game has zero chance. He/She is hopeful as am I with this game for its future because i am sure this person is just like me and have loved some of SE's work but happen to think that this game is a heaping pile of dung but hopes for change.

Your response to this is like someone offended your mother or something is complete and utter nonsense and the child like response is saddening. Really makes others want to come back to this craptastic game (IMO) with comments like this.

Happy New Year to all hopefully see you all in a year in game.

*Normally i find these kind of comments hilarious because the OP is usually done in the same childish manner lol but not this one*
