Too soon to know. Depends on what the options for new hairstyles, faces, and the like will be.

I may even consider changing from Hyur race if that's the case.

I always thought I'd go manthra if it ever became available. I tend to enjoy the animations and armor fit of female characters more though in almost all games, so we will see. I'll definitely be staying some sort of cat person though. The males seem to be shaping up as a Zidane style character whom I really liked in FF9.

Male Miquo'te here... assuming that the game is worth playing which, sadly, is looking less and less likely since the day it was released. >_>

I'll stick with female Hyur, but I may change the hairstyle.

Depending on how awesome Fem Galkas are... Probably going with that.

But regardless, if any one here played EVE, when they released new character customization menus, EVERYONE did it. If it's anything like EVE, it'll be MUCH MUCH better.

But then again, this isn't EVE. ;_; (TaruTarus in spaceships)

It is funny how different people see the same thing. I am thinking the complete opposite, I think more or less every single thing they are talking about/adding to the game in the coming year is super exciting and I just can't wait. If anything I just hope there are enough people playing/willing to try it again when 2.0 comes around because it is never fun to play an mmo- in an empty world.

I might change my appearance to a male lalafell (female atm) depending on what the models look like with the "new engine" or w/e it is called.

I agree with 90% of your post. In which you've gotten a rate up.

I will however, not agree with your weird transgender lala abomination that you want to create.

Yeah, it's really just a matter of preference. I can see why many would be excited about the current direction of the game but, as someone who really just wanted FFXI with a metaphorical face-lift (and voice acting), I see FFXIV moving ever-closer to the kind of MMORPGs that always had me bored, annoyed, and returning to FFXI a month later.

lol; did I spell Miqo'te with a 'u' in my earlier post? I've been moving back and forth between American/British/Canadian English for too long. XD

If they offer new hairstyles for Miqo'te, I'll change my character's appearance. If not, I'm keeper her the same as she already is.

You know I never thought I would want to change my characters appearance but after playing skyrim recently and picking and elf I realised I had been an elf in all previous games even xi, although I will wait till 2.0 to make my mind up. Maybe a taru if I change :)

Oh yes, I most certainly will change to highlander or hyur. I honestly cannot stand being a freaking elf anymore because the armor looks retarded on them and my guy is way too tall. It is one of the top ten reasons I don't play this game anymore is because of how dumb my character looks and I don't want to invest the time in creating a new character since I like the name and have way too much gil/lvl 50s.

I think I might tweak Yelta depending on how the graphics engine. If there are new hairstyles I will consider changing. Also, if there is a deeper purple color I might go with that.

I'm pretty sure I will stay Lalafell.
