So to sound like everyone else on the forum long time ago FF XI yada yada....but now I'm ready to step foot into a whole new adventure and I just was looking for general tips to keep me from tossing my PC out the window.

I was a MNK in XI so I'm looking a PUG this time around just wanted to know if it's pretty much the same and with Macros is setting them up the same and how many slots do you have? (for Macros in case that wasn't clear)

Pugilist is more of a THF/MNK Hybrid as it's a sort of Evasion tank and it has some THF abilities. If you wait till next month's update you'll get your Monk back though it's more of a elemental fighter this time around, same punching things to death concept, but you'll have to pay attention to elemental affinities for your damage.

Macros are a bit more expanded, but you'll definitely want to read up on them to be sure, I only use very simplistic macros as I play with a controller anyway, so I don't really need em beyond gear changing outside of battle. (No gear swap in battle this time around.)
