You have to set up your controller outside of the game itself by running the config program.

guess id rather post here then make a new thread.

anyone know to solve the problem of a wireless controller not being recognized after it falls asleep unless you restart the game? ive searched all over google only solution ive seen is adminstration settings, but that didnt work. i played back in early '11 and i know it worked then, i made a post about it. so something isnt configured right it would seem. i know it also works in ffxi fine.

I use a Cordless Rumblepad 2 and after it falls asleep it will come back after pressing button 7.

Well like always i found out the solution after i ask a forum about my problem. I found it in a random forum post while googling. the solution for me was to connect another gamepad peripheral, and just keep it connected. connecting something like a cordless mouse receiver didn't work. connecting an old steering wheel usb did. Gamepad now wakes up after it falls asleep and i am a happy camper :)

although i dont know what im going to do with this huge pos steering wheel.
