Make a mithra... after creation, you'll never look at her face again anyways :P
Yes... yes, I think that was a very good advice! ^.^
Yeah, we all know that massive colour palettes and sliders are the bright future of awesome character customization! >_>
Poor girl, when you have to impose limitations to your world out of fear someone might abuse their freedom. No jump for you, either, eh? And seriously - who needs color customization. Just imagine someone could dare to smash a purple Imp with a pink shield. The pain. THE PAIN.
FFXIVs character customization is a bad joke. I don't like the Aion monsters either, but why do people like you always pull out the most extreme example as if it was the only possible way a good idea could turn out? Both 4-year-old AoC, last year's Skyrim, Rift and, no matter what art style you prefer, all major upcoming releases show that providing options for uniqueness does not necessarily mean opening the floodgates of bad taste (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYHp9XxFJd8
). Unless, of course, you (sensibly perhaps, by now) assume that SE has neither the ressources nor talents left to draw level.
If your phobia for anything that might shatter your cohesive world of eternal blandness and repetition fits you, go play some paper and pencil RPG, where you can paint the world of your imagination in blocks of gray to your heart's content. I want to look unique.
Especially in a RPG.
