Alright I got some various questions I'd like to ask maybe some of you can help?
1: How often does Anima thats used for teleporting regenreate?

2: Anyway to hide my Mithra's tail or somehow have it be a diff color than her hair, the thing is distracting to the point I made a Hyur instead.

3: Anyway to skip having a last name? I am already horrible at making names and now having to make a last name is like being stabbed.

4: What are some things you reccomend I purchaise asap as a new player when I have the gil to do so?

5: Any LS's on Selbina with a large active playerbase wanna take a new player and his friend who is going to be starting as well. I am having issues finding anyone to chat with the game feels.. dead due to this.

6: Does SE have any plans to add a proper AH thats linked to the 3 main towns? Because the one in Limsa is bascally empty and is a real pain in the *** to search it.

7: On Selbina server, what town has the best population, this ties in to question 6, and might allevaite that issue.

8: Another one tied into question 6 and 7, what town has the best layout? Limsa kinda has stuff all over the place.

9:.. To be continued as I think of more to add to this thread.

1: 1 per 10 hours
2: No, the tail is permanent. The tail can have the same color as the head hair though.
3: You must have a last name
4: Gear appropriate for your level
5: idk
6: Yes, the 3 main cities wards will be linked in 2.0 but it will not be an "Auction house" it will be like it is now, but with the combined items of all 3 cities.
7: Probably Uldah
8: Uldah

You can switch town by setting your home point at any other city Aerthyte (or any Aerthyte for that matter, like say in a camp etc).

As for allegiance you can't switch nation, but being from a certain city only matters on which starting storyline you experience(all 3 cities storylines lead up into the main storyline).

What nation your character hails from has no other real gameplay effect in at this point.

An auction house is planed, but I believe it isn't scheduled until after 2.0. It was one of those, the original design went way too far in the wrong direction, and all problems considered, they are trying to make due with what they have until they can get the other issues corrected. But Yoshi has commented that the current system will either be dropped, or scaled back greatly for a general auction house of some sort.

As for starting gear, Onion gear is good to about 20, from 20 to 30 you have Sphoe?!? (the level 15 dungeon outside of Limsa) gear, then from 30-40 you have NM and Totorak gear, and then 40+ you can start planning for end-game gear. I want to say Onion gear is from leves, but it has been a LONG time since I got mine, so I don't really remember.

Pretty much everyone hangs out in Ul'dah (I end up in the other cities from time to time, but yeah, if you want to do things with people, you will almost always start in Ul'dah. Otherwise it's where the quest or guild is).

Grand Companies it's important to watch what your linkshell is. If you want to do things with people for Grand Companies, you have to be from the same one. That is really creating the seperation in towns, but still no major reason to spend time there. And the gear that Grand Companies offer vary greatly, keep that in mind when you join one.

And I am not really sure what the red symbol is that you speak of... Did you join a Linkshell? If so, the Linkshell Owner can change the symbol, but for the most part, you get what you get.

They ever gonna fix craft recipies? They have way to many sub combines needed. Half the time its not even in the craft skill to make the final product. This crap annoyed me in ff11 as well.

Scyris I think they have been rewriting some of the recipes, but I am not sure to what extent. Definitely something that bothered me when I played. I hope they do end up reforming many recipes and such.

Confirmations anyone?

All recipes have been updated for:
Blacksmithing,
Armorcraft,
Woodworking,
weaving,
leatherworking

The next update has recipe changes for:
goldsmithing,
alchemy,
and cooking

completing the inital rework of the recipes back to base components, or craft simliar components to completed items.

You no longer need to have level 40 alchemy to make a level 20 leathercraft piece of gear.

Lodestone has the new recipes for the items already updated, the 1.21 update notice will be soon (in theory).

On a side note, most (but not all) old recipes are still available, but they produce "Dated" items.

SO thats what dated means, I was wondering that. Well thank god for that tbh cuz those old recipies were horrible. lol

Tell me about it. I have 50 armor, and a friend asked me to make a pair of green footwear to go with his Darkhold DD armor... Only armor he can wear are a dated green item. Which also requires something like level 35 weaving, leather and alchemy... seriously, what a PAIN. Just glad I am working on all crafts. I might be able to make the pants some day... If the recipes are still available...
#15Scyris, Posted: Feb 28 2012 at 5:54 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) SHouldn't SE do the world transfers AFTER the servers have merged insted of before they do? its kinda silly to do it first then merge the worlds.
