The use of Food and Medicine in FFXI was one of the things I loved about my time in that game. The differences in group/combat dynamics upon even just a single member or two of the party indulging in some stat boosting food was fantastic. A few MMOs have come close, but not to the extent FFXI took it and I hope we see that sort of change here with stat boosting consumables.

When is 1.21 scheduled for? I'm pretty new and have been adamant about the game. I've spent a lot of time reading changes and it's exciting to see where things are going.

Like Final Fantasy XI, the game specs will be extremely high for the time, but in about 5 years, an average machine can run it on max settings with little to no issues. Tanaka also expressed interest in making a benchmark program available.
