How was the experience? Would you recommend it?
Playing entirely solo in an MMORPG? An MMORPG with next to no content? And doing it without even using many of the game's abilities?
Why would anyone
recommend that? XD
response tongue in cheek i know (hope) but...
yeah i mostly solo everything i can. My playtime consists of 15-30 minute intervals throughout the afternoon and evening, inbetween which I'm refereeing my 4 kids and doing who knows what else which can include work or playing my 3DS. Its not that I have a limited attention span, its just that I can count on whatever I'm doing to be interrupted at any point so I've adapted to doing things that account for that.
My first 50 classes were GLD/MIN and then i finally soloed PGL and LNC with the help of some afk PL during 20-40. Soloing 40-50 takes about 7 days of sporadic leveling. With aspected GC leves giving near 15k each (that's like 50-60k hour), soloing is ridiculously easy. I split it between leves, farming, and then just hitting odd mobs along the way. You don't ever solo alone in an MMORPG which is what makes it fun. Your LS is always there cheering you on or available to meld some odd weapon you need or make some item or even duo for a few minutes here and there.
Yep, I don't do Ifrit often (have like 2 totems) but I got plenty of time to work on multi-melded weapons/armor which are pretty much better anyway. The only thing I really need some help with is the GC missions that require 2+ ppl. Of course this is likely to all change once the job/AF quests come out. That's gonna suck >.>;
