Ok so on the weekend my old pc died.

went out bought a new one:
Asus P8Z 68-M PRO motherboard
Windows 7 64 Bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560

Anyways, i was reading through a crash thread on the second page and theres was a website, so i found my motherboard there and when i downloaded the things it had for me they came as a ROM file...and i have no idea what to do with that...

will i need to download all of those things? any help is appreciated.

Also when i crash sometimes my speakers buzz and i need to restart my computer other times the game just freezes and i have to exit it..

thanks in advance

What does the event viewer say under Custom Views -> Administrative events? Sometimes the error message for ffxiv tells about a faulty module.

Unfortunately that is the generic something went wrong but I dont know what message. I had that happen to me when I wasnt able to access certain zones and had to reinstall about 3 different times. I believe there is a way to check your .dat files but I am unsure as to how.

Ok my problems are still happening on the weekend i got to play for like 4 hours straight before anything wonky happened. But today when i turned my computer on I signed in and about 5 mins it it forze my computer blue screened and it restarted itself. logged in again, same thing happened.

heres the crash reports:

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

wuaueng.dll (1140) SUS20ClientDataStore: A request to read from the file "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb" at offset 0 (0x0000000000000000) for 65536 (0x00010000) bytes succeeded, but took an abnormally long time (123 seconds) to be serviced by the OS. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem.

Well it seems to point to a hardware issue..have you tried memtest?

That will help you rule out memory issues

Make sure you update your chipset drivers (From manufacturer's site)

And there is a recent BIOS update for download as well that I download the ROM file and then use the software provided under "BIOS-Utilities" Make sure you follow exact directions because you can mess things up pretty nicely if you don't.
